Didn't Dragon Age have that dude at the campfire who was solely there to be like "Hey wanna buy some DLC"?

Not the same.

I believe The Division was released unfinished due to the in-game marker that displays a message stating content is "coming soon" which also happens to be a free update (one of two). DA:O had paid DLC available at launch then and there. Whether it was cut from the main package is another discussion.

So over at Kinda Funny, they're doing a GDC Twitch Stream for Indie Devs to show off games they are making. The first game shown was called Arena Gods (http://arena-gods.com/). As soon as it started, I immediately thought of how it's destined to be an eventual UPF game (I know some people are burned out by these types of games, though).

Is it weird that I think Game Tapes is a strange thing to have as premium content? It's a strange thing to argue but I feel that the crew watching and commentating over something is more suited as "free" content while anything that's (effectively) LPs is more suited as premium content. Which is why I am continually surprised at Project Beast for being 'free' content. It's great that they have some super strong free content to show to people to encourage more premium subscriptions but it's just how I've categorized their premium/free stuff to myself.

I think maybe it's because they also upload the videos as raw uploads.

Man, it's hard to watch that Game Tapes and not feel somewhat bad for everyone involved. I have absolutely no fondness for the PS3, but it was so ambitious and had so much potential that I can't help thinking about how rough those first few years must have been for everyone on stage. They seemed so confident and had no idea how far they were actually behind.

The ambition and potential really sinks in when they show the features and specs of the PS3, which on paper are the same as the PS4/XB1 feature wise (1080p, BluRay, Wifi built in, etc.). For something designed in 2004-2005 and released in 2006 that's just crazy, they really were thinking ahead in a lot of ways but they just couldn't get it all to come together and made some major mistakes along the way.

Enough with the isometric RPGs. Demand Sega give you the Alpha Protocol IP and make a sequel, I will single-handedly buy a million copies.

And I haven't even touched Matthew Rorie's Pillars of Eternity yet.

I fucking love what I've played of PoE, Divinity, and Wasteland 2. Hell, I've probably put at least a dozen hours into each. But they're all so fucking long, who knows if I'll ever actually beat them.

I also have Matt Rorie's Alpha Protocol, but I've only booted it once. Matt Rorie's Fallout: New Vegas is a hell of a game, though. Same with Matt Rorie's South Park: The Stick of Truth.

So, I finished Fire Emblem Conquest Chapter 9 and loaded up Chapter 10. Saw that map and went 'well, fuck'. and instantly shut my 3DS. I'm gonna need time for that one.

This is gonna be rough.

So to use PSVR you need to connect an HDMI from your TV to your breakout box and another one from the breakout box to your PS4. You then need to connect the headset cables to the breakout box (including a USB cable). The breakout box itself has a power brick to power it. As it looks right now, that means for convenience sake, you would need to use your breakout box even if you're not using the PSVR. If its not a hassle, you can unplug the HDMI cables every time you're not using PSVR and simply connect your PS4 to your TV, but doing that every time would probably not be worth to. Long story short, I would not be surprised if the first real revision of PS4 has the breakout box built into PS4. You would then only need one HDMI cable and there would be no power brick. The only cables needed would be the PSVR headset cable and the USB cable.

This is more or less, the setup needed (whoever made this forgot about the HDMI cable that goes from the breakout box to the TV):
