It's definitely a glitch, and lets you skip the entire well/wheel skeleton playground. After you do that you can basically just go straight to the boss.

Uchigatana is such a great weapon for a DEX build. Took that bad boy with me for most of the back half of the game, upgraded it all the way to +15.
Great Scythe. Proved scientifically to be the best DEX weapon. I don't care if it is a cheese.

Balder Side Sword was my DEX weapon of choice, the thrust attack has a great reach.
