Is Brad wrong about Elder Scrolls Online? I thought you still had to buy the game for $60 but they are removing the subscription fee? He indicated it was Free 2 Play, or are there two versions?

Yeah, I didn't really have much of a problem with what Dan said, about the ink ribbon thing: the typewriters pretty much all have the universal box next to them, so you really don't have to carry them around taking up an inventory slot, but someone who hasn't played much might not realize that at first.
I should be surprised that Dan called the Godfather 'too cliché', but I'm not. It reminds me of people who complained that the Who ruined that one Limp Bizkit song.
"Don't fucking touch me, Dan"
Jason continues his rise as secret best GBer.
This podcast shows what I'd been worried about for a while. Jeff is the glue holding the west crew together and without him the show is terrible. I really hope Jeff hangs around for a long time because I guess the day he leaves is the day I leave.
It's really not about how Dan should be loving those things. It's really more akin to Brad's quip about it all just being "busy work." On top of that, they mention how Nintendo went back and were willing to change stuff up in classic Zelda games, but they completely miss the part that this is exactly what the inclusion of Crimson Heads did. It enhances the effectiveness of the inventory management and risk of backtracking, which further adds to the tension.
I swear, "streamlining" has become one of my most hated terms in regards to how it is used in video games.
is doctor dog the dog doctor just a doctor who is a dog, or is he a doctor who is a dog that is only a doctor for dogs?
Doctor dog is a dog doctor, not a dog doctor.
Jason was able to come out as Pro-Monster Hunter. Wonder what will happen when Jeff finds out. Stay safe man.

Their conversation about Resident Evil...
"It pads out the game"

Almost to the end of the podcast, got to the part about Norm Macdonald's roast of Bob Saget. As soon as they started discussing that, I went to Youtube and looked it up. At first I had the typical reaction of "Why is he doing these lame jokes?" but then it hit me that he was actually roasting Bob Saget because Bob could've told any one of those jokes on America's Funniest Home Videos back in the day. Even as a kid I knew the jokes on that show were absolutely terrible. Did anybody else think Norm was getting that meta? Apparently he just wanted to tell bad jokes because he was asked to be outrageous, but I like my interpretation a lot better.
Dan has no idea why anyone would play through the game as Chris...
So, I'm a pretty big fan of Brad and listening to him talk about games, but this community seems to be pretty bummerish about him. Is it just since he picked up hosting duties or do people just not jive with his opinions? Just curious!
I didn't have a Margarita either until I moved to the Bay Area Dan.
Don't ask me how I pronounced Fajitas when I was younger....
Did it sound like Peter Griffin in Family Guy when he orders 900,000 chicken vagitas?
Everyone in the dorm laughed at that joke. Everyone but me. Peter fell on that sword for me.
I really hope they get to show why Monster Hunter is so fun. It does go into one of Jeff's comments; People have to start specializing/get good at certain games like Monster Hunter or Dota or a fighting game. Might be hard to "sell it" on a quick look but the game's moments it creates are amazing.

I don't either
Man, this RE1 discussion is rough. Too bad there's no one on the crew that actually likes RE the way it used to play before it became an action game to sort of balance out the negatively of Dan and Brad who really didn't seem to appreciate why RE1 is designed like that.
We like Brad. Brad posts here. I think every member of the crew is liked by mostly everyone. We call them out when we think they do crazy things such as not putting Destiny as most disappointing game of the year or putting Destiny as the tenth best game of the year, but disagreements aren't a sign of dislike or bummerish about any of them.

I want a legend of zelda drew/dan playthrough, dont care which game but they need to play one.
I'm loving all the crustacean talk. I go crabbing all the time, which is easier because crabs can't scream.
Yea, Brad used the wrong term. Still $60.
Most Zelda games would be pretty boring to watch, especially the 3D ones.
I don't think so. I'd love to see Drew play through the OoT Water Temple. If you were talking about TP or SS then yeah I'd definitely agree.
Seeing Drew play through OOT would be fascinating to me because I've known how to get through that game by memory for years now. Would be interesting to see what trips a new player up.
Great, so they went Fee to Pay. The worst of both worlds.
Guild Wars 2 is one of the most content rich games for it's price-to-content ratio.
Is that game lousy with microtransactions? I thought it was pay up front and then nothing later.
Not at all, really.
Mario Party Party 3 incoming. Yeeeeeees. I was just wishing for this today.
Can't wait for Jeff's take on Majora's Mask next week.
