I don't care about the Destiny talk but I wish they'd stop acting like an mmo fps without a lot of content that got a raid update is somehow a weird crazy thing they can't figure out

I like Destiny talk because Jeff is right about it.

Todays episode was a lil slow. But I'm looking forward to their charity coverage.

I think this applies to Brad, but with Jeff it's different. To him, it seems unbelievable how a high caliber studio such as Bungie with a crazy budget was unable to create a more substantial experience, and I agree with him there.

Jason is good. They should invite him on more even when Drew is back. He made several corrections or clarifications during their discussions which was much appreciated.

Even though I am fully disappointed with how Destiny turned out I was able to somewhat understand why Brad keeps going back to it. This podcast broke that for me though. The way he talks about getting a different coloured ship, which does nothing in the grand scheme of things, left me scratching my head. He keeps on saying the shooting is good, which I agree with, but it's not like other games don't have solid shooting.

I don't know how to explain it I'm just baffled.

I keep forgetting to e-mail Brad to ask Jason which Streetfighter would fit each of his co-workers either in playstyle or attitude. Also, who are the characters Jason mains in SF4, SF2 and MvC2 & MvC3?!!

I can't stop playing Destiny and I can't stop listening to Bombcast.

I really get the impression that Dan is some crazy mix of Mr. Magoo and Homer Simpson. He seems to obliviously go through life managing to survive from all the stupid shit he does while at the same time getting himself into incredible situations with celebrities. Its unreal.

Also Brad and his Destiny obsession.... it really is like watching someone addicted to a hard drug that they know is bad for them but just cant quit

Not as good as his North Carolina accent.

He has a gift for accents (it's a rare talent).

Re: The discussion of indie games being previous "Best Music/Song" winners, I think that has to do with the fact that music has more of a starring role in those older-style games. In your more cinematic games, the music tends to be there to subtly enhance the action in the way movies use music. In those classic-style games, the music tends to be its own composition which runs alongside the game, and is associated with a level or a section of the game (such as RPG battle music for RPGs where the game cuts to a new scene for fights) rather than being a more subtle set of cues in the background.

That leads to the music in classic-style games being more of a "star" of the presentation than it is in a cinematic game. It's much easier to notice the music when it jumps out and hits you in the face, and these guys play so many games that those are naturally going to be the types of songs they notice and remember come GOTY time.

I wonder if they'll give Physical God David Wise's most recent OST the crown this year after Physical God Yuzo Koshiro's OST last year didn't make the list.

He's right about it everytime, but it's also been the exact same conversation everytime. I got it already chief. Pretty funny hearing Dan as the voice of reason everytime Destiny comes up, he makes the most sense out of everyone.
