I think I remember it was Ryan who was glowing about Civ V on an old podcast.
Was just wondering since it's currently a topic of high debate among a lot of my friends. (Even those who never really talk about or play games).
Yeah, a lot of people are kind of unhappy with it. I'm a pretty casual Civ player and I can see why people are being critical. Overall I like it but considering everything that is in 5 it feels pretty sparse.

I will never understand how Jeff thinks the humor in Borderlands 1 is any different than the humor in Borderlands 2. It's like the exact same type of jokes with different characters. It's just like the Saint's Row and Sunset thing. Like

Saints Row has strong writing. And Borderlands 2 absolutely ratchets up the awful humor. Borderlands one wasn't nearly as obnoxious.
