Hey I'm kinda reluctant to post this because it's lame but I'd love some advice.

I've spent the past two weekends staying up until 4am with this girl I met (we live together in a houseshare). Both times, we've been out and then just hung out after in the living room. We've talked about stuff for ages (she asks me tons of questions) and then the room goes dead quiet and we just sort of stare at each other. Happens both ways and there's those sort of mini smiles involved - she directly commented on by saying my mouth goes up on one side when I do it.

I was getting a bit conscious of this and started staring into space instead (not really space though because I live here on Earth). She was like what are you thinking about and obviously I can't tell her what I'm really thinking about so I'm like 'nothing'. She's like, it must be something. I concede and say it is something but I can't say what is. She says that she thinks she knows and, paraphrasing, that she'll find out in a few weeks (?).

In addition to this, the intonation in her voice goes into girly mode a lot when she's being playful, but that could be because girls are just like that.

So yeah, what's the score here bros? I can't really tell if this is something or if my imagination is running away with itself.

Should add that I've noticed that she's different when she's just with me. Can't explain so well but it's like she becomes really involved in the conversation.

You can also talk about it if you want instead of a direct approach but I honestly can't give you a correct answer. It depends on her, how she is as a person, how she grew up, her views on society. Some may get offended if you try to be too direct, some may think you're a bitch for not doing anything, or some may just act romantically while they just want to be friends. Gotta go with the instinct here man. Either way, remember not to be a creep, like talking to her friends or whatever about it. Maybe some more experienced gafers can tell you more. This is just my personal experience. I blew it way too many times for not being direct but I do live in eastern Europe where women generally prefer direct approaches.
