Ehhhhhhh. I wasn't gaga over season 1 but for some reason still watched every episode. Can't say I'm feeling desire any more.

Maybe just me though.

Hot damn this episode was good. Back and still on fire.

Fucking Marnie! NO ONE HAS SEX LIKE THAT.

She would have looked less awkward if she did not remove the bra at all rather than repeatedly covering her breasts with her arms.

Quick, someone sell me on this show. People are raging in the Golden Globes thread over its wins, and I have the whole first season available on demand and now I kinda wanna watch it.

Just watch it, man, it's good. A few eps at least. IMO it gets better as it goes.

Christ, does Lena have to keep taking her clothes off? We get it, and especially in contrast to the editing in Marnie's scene to cover her boobs its a little ridiculous

I did get a laugh at how Marnie hair seemed to almost magically moved to cover her tits when she took her dress off.

Y'all know not a single person would be complaining if it were Marnie always taking her clothes off.

Also don't remember where but I read Allison Williams (Marnie) said she was uncomfortable being nude on camera, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Fake edit:

Found the quote from the Stern thread.

GQ: Will you get naked on the show?

Allison Williams: I would prefer to keep my clothes on. Unless there's a brisk breeze or something, I tend to keep them on.

i loved the scene between marnie and elliott, and was very glad they didn't have hannah walk in mid encounter which a lazier show might. shoshanna was excellent - "do you want your hymen back" and the karaoke :lol - and i probably enjoyed the episode so much due to the lack of jessa.

this comment might make me a terrible person but i couldn't help but feel like every person of colour at the party was a response to the criticism of s1 for its lack of diversity. not that they shouldn't have responded to it as it feels right now too, but i wish they'd done it properly from season 1 so it wasn't a bit awkward.

Thought the premiere was really good, this show just has a vibe that I really like although I can see why some people don't like it

And childish gambino! He's awesome

Decent first episode. I thought the Dunham and Eli dynamic was the best thing they did. And his scene with Marnie was predicable but still entertaining. I hope he plays more of a role in the apartment.

Adam and Marnie are both shitty people who I find hard to care about. I mean, that ending with Marnie....give me a fucking break. She's pathetic.

Yeah I was watching it with a few friends and one of them says "Okay I'm not trying to be racist or anything, but it feels weird seeing a black person in this show."

Marnie was only hated on because she played the straight woman and becasue she was terrible towards Charlie. The second reason, after seeing how his now girlfriend is around him, should be struck. You know how the saying goes. The only thing in common in all your shitty relationships is you.

Glad to have this show back alongside the usual criticisms. I see the nepotism card has been played already. Some slutshaming dogwhistles too. Nice.

Anyway I LOVED the subtext in Glover's introduction scene.

Outside of the bit where Hannah told Elijah, "I've always felt I was secretly really good at cutting hair", I thought it was a pretty tame premiere with just a few chuckles here and there. It really just served as a reintroduction into the world of Girls, setting up future story lines and whatnot. It was sort of underwhelming, though next week is bound to be better due to the return of Jessa AKA the best female character on the show.

Hell yes. Jessa is awesome.

So I watched the first six episodes of season 1. This show is certainly interesting, I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I'll watch the rest tomorrow.

Is it just me, or did Hanna's parents switch personalities half way through the season?

Marnie is the worst. She's like every stuck up girl in college who you had to hang out with because she was a friend of a friend or dating your friend and she's entitled and a fun sponge. That being said, her mother explains... a lot. I know people like Marnie with mothers like Marnie.

Also, Donald Glover really don't want to be on Community anymore.

But she's hot tho.

I guess one of the perks of being the show creator is writing yourself into a relationship with Donald Glover

Is the gay guy paying for everything in their apartment? I don't think any of them have a job anymore so...
