One of these things is not like the other.Magnus said:Fuzzy Matthew Morrison chest saved the episode. Schu, Finn and Sam abs ftw.
Episode is already better than i was expecting!Magnus said:Fuzzy Matthew Morrison chest saved the episode. Schu, Finn and Sam abs ftw.
Ignatz Mouse said:Big big RHPS fan here, and I loved the episode. Sure, I have my complaints (lyric edits ftl)-- but Rocky fans ought to be anything but revenant purists. For fucks sake, every show has people dress up and do bad imitations for the characters, why would they be opposed to anyone else doing the same?
BertramCooper said:The early reviews for the episode are hilarious. AV Club's is particularly scathing, and rightfully so.
Father_Brain said:I absolutely love VanDerWerff's reviews, I agree with almost every criticism he had of this episode, and yet I enjoyed it anyway. What can I say?
Glee is a seriously flawed and maddeningly uneven show (I'm a believer in the Three Glees theory), no question. I suppose either it clicks with you enough for the weaker episodes to be enjoyable or it doesn't. But I totally get why some people have given up on it, or never liked it to begin with.
Reading the AV Club review:
^^^ Not Will, this is alta-Will and he haunts your fucking nightmares.

I remember when I thought this might be the next Freaks and Geeks... how wrong I was.

omg, thank you! All of a sudden, this has retroactively improved my Glee viewing experience.
I mean, Will's always creeped me out before, but goddam. Just look at how many blog posts were inspired by last night's episode alone! :lol

Memles' Glee theory is definitely standing true.
Ceres said:I still like Glee even though I think the show now has gone down hill, but I think calling it the next Freaks & Geeks even at Glee's high points is going a bit far as the show has always been cheesy soap opera-y. I mean, you had the Christian virgin who wouldn't let her boyfriend touch her without praying get knocked up and kicked out of her house in the first half of season 1.
This show was so much better when there was a point to what was going on in the original 13 episodes instead of the constant theme of the week eps that rarely progress anything. It really has no direction now and is being purely used as a cash cow. I constantly see people bashing this show now but surprisingly the viewership has been fairly consistent. But then again, I bash a lot about this show but come back every week because there's still stuff I enjoy about it.
My bad! I'll keep that in check from now on.Memles said:I need to make clear that it is Todd's theory.
I am but a conduit.

I'm glad I quit this earlier than I quit Heroes. With Heroes, the season and a half of waiting for it to get good again frustrated me so much.Spire said:Glee is the new Heroes.
