Just watched the episode and I liked it as well.

I would be lying if I said that I didn't really felt bad for Rachel and Finn during the scene in the car. Glee, you bitch.

I don't know about Finn but we know Kurt is going to make it to NY because Sarah Jessica Parker is going to be his mentor. I'm surprised about Santana heading off there too.

I know that they said there was going to be a show within a show next season, I assume to keep tabs on the graduates, but I know that Mercedes tweeted a few weeks ago about not being on the show anymore, and then clarified that she wont be in the classroom every episide, so maybe they'll just do special episodes that focus on the grads...but who knows.
Well, Ausiello from TVLine said this regarding next season:
Question: How is next season of Glee going to work exactly, what with half the show being set in New York and the other half at McKinley? —Jenny

Ausiello: This is subject to change, but it’s my understanding that they’re taking a Lost-like approach to Season 4 — devoting whole episodes to one location or the other. In other words, the premiere might be set at NYADA with Rachel and Kurt, while Episode 2 could focus on the first day back at McKinley. Smart way to go, IMHO.

Question: Please tell me Glee will actually be shooting in New York next season and not on some cheesy Hollywood backlot outfitted to look like New York. We can tell the difference. —Melissa

Ausiello: And so, apparently, can Ryan Murphy. “We’re coming to New York,” the Glee boss insists. “Nothing is in stone, because we’re still budgeting, but I would love to come once every week and shoot a lot of scenes there. We are 100 percent doing that; we’re not going to do it all on a soundstage. That was one of the fun reasons to do [the storyline].”
If this is true then watch every episode set in McKinley crash in raitings.

Yeah but what brings Kurt to NYC? He didn't get in, so maybe someone else who made it, dropped out and he gets their spot...

Also, the current crop of New Directions is like all 2nd or 3rd tier singers. Wonder how they are gonna handle that, because there is no way that current crop of kids could hold together a a new choir to win Nationals.

It's NYC. He might just leave for a chance. I could easily see a contrasting storyline between Rachel in theater school, and Kurt hustling and bustling in the real world of theater.

Darren Criss.

Great episode. I loved the Finchel breakup. When they separated the Glee Club into who was graduating and who wasn't I imagined Fox executives crapping their pants. It really drove home why they need to keep most of the graduating kids involved in the show on at least some level.

I...actually thought that it was pretty good too. (overall. it still had a bunch of problems) It was certainly one of the best episodes of the season. (maybe the best)

Burt performing 'Single Ladies' was all kinds of amazing. Kurt's performance of that song in season 1 is one of my favorite moments in the series and calling back to it was pretty cool. I remember that Burt walked in during their rehearsal and Kurt had to lie and say he was practicing for football, which lead to the awesome "Single Ladies Football Kick" scene. And I was a little surprised that Kurt didn't immediately get in NYADA, but I think it's pretty much guaranteed that he'll get in somehow.

I kinda wish this was the actual series finale, but regardless I think it's a good stopping point for me. At least they were able to end it on a high note.

And of course the Glee project is back the day after the finale.

It was real hilarious how the Actual Winners of last year's Glee Project (Sam and Damian) were just there, while the Pity Winners (Lindsey and Alex) got the actual roles.

Why was Quinn making out with Puck in the finale after all the build-up with her and the virgin Christian Joe?

(Note: I missed the Dinosaur Prom episode.)

Joe and her's relationship status is unknown I believe. I assumed they were still together.

?????

Isn't that next week?

I'll admit, I didn't watch the past 4 episodes. Did I miss something - how did Kurt not get in, but Rachel did?

Is that the writers just going for a stupid twist, or did something of note happen..?

There are only 20 places so one would assume Kurt just wasn't good enough, or the endorsement by Jesse was really awesome.

Kurt not being good enough is one thing (Despite the fact that the interviewer said he did a great job).

Rachel bombed.

I would bang a hot farmer!
That really bothered me. It makes that episode with the audition seems pointless.
Whoopi probably gave Kurt's spot to Rachel because he obviously wasn't good enough or else he would've been given a solo during Nationals. Schu screwed Kurt's chance.

And then she blew everyone out of the water on an actual stage at an actual performance. And seeing how Whoopi had to audition four times, she also screwed up so she probably felt compassion.

How is it possible that Rachel got in, and not Kurt ? Rachel litteraly harassed Whoopi. When Whoopi asked her why she should have an another chance/more time than others kids as talented (if not more) than her, she was absolutly right. Such behaviour should have banned Rachel from possibles futures auditions. And now, we have a 180° ? How is that consistant with Whoopi's character ?
Kurt did an amazing audition : he should have gotten into NYADA.

She saw that Rachel not only had more drive, but was more talented. After that it was a no brainier.

It hasn't been the case for Fox, but for other stations Thursday is typically the night for heavy-hitters.

Maybe Fox is trying to put together its own Thursday comedy line-up? Either way Glee still has at least two seasons in it before it gets un-watchable.

Also: This current season of the Glee Project is terrible. I've caught up and not impressed so far.

Thursday last year was Grey's Anatomy, The Mentalist, The Vampire Diaries and The Big Bang Theory for me, so in my eyes the thursday timeslot was always really good for a show.

Not sent to die by any means.

Exactly. Look at its competition: Grey's Anatomy (still strong, will definitely out rate Glee but isn't the hit it once was), the supremely boring Person of Interest, the shambling corpse of The Office, the never was a hit Parks and Rec coming off a terrible fourth season, and fucking Beauty and the Beast on The CW.

Glee should do fine against that competition. I'm looking forward to a two hour block of Vampire Diaries followed by Glee.

Should have noted that my comment was supposed to be tongue in check. :)

You never know though. Switching something like this up usually either decreases or increases viewership...its never really a wash.

News from Comic Con about s4.
- The Leprechaun gets the boot. (at least for the first part of the season and hopefully forever)
- Sugar is here to stay! (best news tbh)
obWG4.gif

- The powers that be want to bring both Samuel and Alex back (but no Lindsay? ugh).
- They are looking to bring in a lot of new people to New Directions.

Good.

Eh, I don't care much for the dreadlock guy (I actually think he's a huge douche and I hate his storylines) but I really like Unique. (Unique is the best Glee character)
Big cast will be getting even bigger? lol

lol, Lindsay and Alex were the best of the new additions. Madness!

So i just saw this. Dean Geyer for Season 4.

http://video.foxnews.com/v/1755818658001/

According to Fox, Geyer will play Brody Weston, an upperclassman at NYADA who has his eye on Rachel (Lea Michele). Artist will play Jake Puckerman, the younger, half-brother of Puck (Mark Salling). Look for Jake to audition for the glee club, but his attitude could get in the way.

Geyer's TV credits include Australia's "Neighbours," appearing on "Australian Idol" and "Terra Nova." Artist's credits include "Blue Lagoon: The Awakening" and "Melissa & Joey."

I'm not sure how to feel about all the new casting choices. When will Artie, Tina, Joe, etc get time to shine if the writers are introducing new characters left and right?

First promo of season 4.

- The choir room so empty :(
- UGH Alex?! Unique was good only for musical numbres, he can't act worth a shit. It seems Ryan didn't learn his lesson with Damian (and I'm still bitter about Lindsay).
- And Samuel is there too, gah.
- Sue already had her baby.
- Kate Hudson is here to make Rachel suffer, yay.
