Thanks to the official Australian Xbox magazine!

“Don’t expect the standard point and shoot fare – Things have progressed quite a bit from the goldeneye original on N64. Players now have the ability to duel wiled”

“seeing the enemy run away points towards a much deeper level of enemy inelegance, made possible by the games E.V.I.L AL.”

“yet another layer of strategic possibilities” - in relation to the goldeneye/duel wielding

flowed up by

“it’s a fast linear arcade shooter”

The verdict

8/10 – The loose connection with the bond universe props a decent first person shooter. For bond fans only

This review sucks, I only buy OAusXM for the demo disc, previews, local content/ bargain hunter and potently finding a decent sleeper title.

The worst thing is it got the same score as ghost recon 2!

I don't understand you guys at all.

Why do you not get that Goldenye: Rogue Agent is THE BEST FPS EVER MADE. It tops Halo 2. It KILLS Half-Life 2.

EA is the best company EVER. Go buy Catwoman IT'S THE AWESOME!!

I WAS ABLE TO DUAL WIELD IN GOLDENEYE N64 DAMMIT!!!!

*faints*

No you are wrong, Halo 2 was the first game you could duel wield in. You just “think” you could duel wield in goldeneye.

duel wilding sounds kind of fun.

Does nobody remember Red Faction 2? It had the independent shoulder triggers and everything.

What makes this issue even worse is there were KOTOR spoilers in the first few lines of the KOTOR II preview, fuckin major and unnecessary ones.

I am only 28 hours into KOTOR after picking it up a week ago! Fuck you OXM

Man I don't know what the spoilers were, but that's a game you really don't want spoiled in any way.

KOTOR spoiler VVVVVV

It said that a crazy droid kills you’re character at the end of KOTOR, I assume it’s referring to HK-47.

Please don’t confirm the spoiler but I just sent that an email bagging there mag and asking for the KOTOR downloadable content to be on there next CD.

If it’s true why the fuck was it in a KOTOR preview what is the point?

Ahhh~ good old Cheung. The man who brought GA gaming journalism nuggets such as Nunon's S.M.U.R.F.s rendering capability and the phrase "sex on tap". We sure do miss him. :lol

Yeah the game isn't bad. I've got a sealed PAL GC copy sitting here, someone buy it off me. :lol

:lol That's 3 forums I see you trying to sell that thing Bowser. Why on earth did you get it?

Nobody has called it Rouge Agent yet...I'm very disappointed. :(

I rented it, played it and I think the game is mediocre at best (XBox). The graphics are good but the control is not very precise. The weapons sound effects are extremely muffled, and the whole Goldeneye concept and the wannabee John Woo dual weilding just come off as gimmicky at best. The weapons to me don't seem to have any impact. I couldn't tell te difference between using a pistol or a sub-machine gun. This game takes bits and pieces from various FPS games (Red Faction, Halo, Solider of Fortune) and just comes off as a cookie cutter attempt with the sum of its parts equalling a truly sub par game. I've had more fun with Shadow Ops: Red Mercury and Men of Valor. After about 7 levels of this other quality game in my collection were calling out to me.

This game is an insult to the 007 license, and EA is crazy if they think this game can compete with this seasons heavy hitters. (i.e Halo2, Ghost Recon 2, and Metroid Prime 2, Half-Life 2). Like I said, I've had more fun with from other titles. After several levels I found the game to be boring and stale, preying that something would keep me glued to the game (it damn sure ins't the story). This is coming form a person that truly enjoyed 007:Nightfire. Shame on EA for using the Goldeneye name to try to dupe the uninformed that this game may be related to the N64 classic. I wouldn't even suggest picking it up in the bargin bin, there are other mediocre shooter that do a are enjoyable to play. This is just more ho-hum developer license abuse. Ian Flemming is rolling over in his grave. ;)

I just borrowed a copy of this. It made me want to cry...

It's called Goldeneye because the Rogue Gent has a golden eye, it actualy has nothing to do with the Goldeneye.

007

License killed.
