My photoshop doesn't work after I reformatted my computer so I'm having to turn to alternative means to edit my avatars/pictures. Anyone have some suggestions?

The Gimp is free, but perhaps a bit clunky. Worth a shot though.

I also use Photoimpact, it has a pretty easy interface, plus a gif animator add on.
