Good looking Character Models or Good looking Environments, which is more important to you?

What element is more important for great graphics in your eyes?

While enviroments seems like the obvious choice cause of the amount of screen realestate they take up the character graphics have stagnated the most over the last 5 years so Im going with characters for now.
