Sega Swirl...

If I could get the Dreamcast version with full sound on the PC... I would be a happy man...

Sure I can download a PC version from www.segaswirl.com but it just not the same feel as the Dreamcast version.

If I could get just the music from the Dreamcast version I would be happy...

The little things in the world make me happy!

Caramelpot's adorable The Lost Golem is a must. It's a top-down/isometric game where you, the Golem, have to "herd" a bumbling king through the forest by moving around walls and posts while avoiding various creatures, pits, etc... Very simple little thing, and addictive as all get out. Reminded me a bit of, oh, Kickle Cubicle or Lolo crossed with Lemmings or something.

Looks like NCS still has 'em in stock. It's been quite a while since I got rid of my DC; didn't realize the games, imports esepcially, were still so readily available!

ooh, last golem get. thanks hotarubi. i've been curious about it for a while, but i had no idea it'd be so readily available.

I must have seen that Lost Golem cover about a million times at the old Game Express shop in NYC, but had no idea what it was. Now I wish I got it when I had the chance (the store was shut down last year). :(

Just talking about the game makes me all nostalgic. :(

I almost feel like buying another Dreamcast and getting back to the glory days. There were (and still are) so many awesome "unknowns" on there, you could practically order a box full of odd titles from NCS and wind up with some truly great games that, like, no one in the Western hemisphere had ever heard of. Lost Golem, Jet Coaster Dream, Lack of Love, Roommania, Tokyo Bus Guide... This stuff kept me more entertained than anything else had or has since.

*ponders how much his Xbox would go for on Ebay*

There are Dc´s for around $60, I paid $125 and got 300 games with it. but mostly American and not much puzzle games, that is why I started the Thread.
Off Course they are not original but I only do this because it is not in the shops anyhow.
Normally I have everything original. Powerstone is the main reason to have the DC for me, and a lot of 2d shooters....

But it is a really cool console....

See if you can track down Super Puzzle Fighter II X for the Dreamcast. It's Japanese-only, but it's easily playable and you can even change the games into their English versions for English win quotes.

The DC version is by far the best version of the game ever made. You get an arcade-perfect port with zero loading time, arranged soundtrack, and an option to edit the counter gem pattern, so you can make all the characters "balanced" and make horrible characters awesome.

On top of that, the game also features "Super Puzzle Fighter II Y" and "Super Puzzle Fighter II Z." These games take the Puzzle Fighter formula but create new puzzle games. One game plays like Tetris Attack, and the other plays like Columns, so you get three unique puzzle games in one package.

I really like an import title that came out pretty late in the DC's lifespan (ie, after it died) and for some reason never got the recognition that the post-mortem shooters et al get. Anyway, it's called Musapey's Choco Marker and has you playing some little rat or something that does stuff with blocks. Like any puzzler it's kinda hard to explain in a way that sounds fun, but I liked it anyway.

It kinda reminds me of Sound Qube for the PS1, actually. I loved that one too.

What you see especially for USA market it is focussed for good Graphic games, and with a puzzler that is not always the case.. Also if you read the book ´Power Up´ it is also described as a difference between USA games and Japanese games... No Offense.

North America DC was really lacking on the puzzlers, which was always surprising to me.

We did get two trivia games: South Park Chef's Love Shack and Who Wants to Beat Up a Millionaire?*

*Both sucked HARD.

No one has mentioned Puyo Pop Fever, also known as Puyo Puyo Fever.

You all disappoint me.

the fever mode ruins the Puyo formula IMHO.

I thought Fever mode was incredibly well done, balanced extremely well. I've lost dozens of hours in multiplayer Fever, though it's understandable why you don't like it if you're referring to the part where the first player to reach Fever tends to win...but that's only when you're first learning the ropes. Fighting off a Fever for the first time is extremely gratifying.

Isn't there a way to play sans-Fever anyways? It's like the best of both worlds!
