Seriously. It's ridiculous they don't have a Honeycomb app for it.

Lord Error said:How's everyone's experience with G+ nowadays? When it first a appeared, I opened the account, added a group of maybe 15-20 people who are mostly tech savvy real life friends and acquaintances. First week or so everyone was posting away, commenting, making fun of a facebook and how there's much smarter people on G+, posting news, interesting stuff they found or have seen or done, etc.
Forward to a few weeks later, my G+ is a complete wasteland, and noone has posted anything in the last 12 days I think. I pretty much don't even bother checking it anymore as the last three posts were from me, and no one commented anything on them. Asking some of the people from the group (as I know most of them in real life) they all have the exact same experience as I do. No one from their group posts anything anymore :\

Shame about the userbase.
Chorazin said:So far, G+ is my favorite social network right behind Twitter, plus it seem to me that the girls are all pretty cute, or at least the ones in my Circles. And they're all a bit geeky to be on + from before they flung the doors open, which doesn't hurt!

Now that it's open without invitation, you'll start to see a lot more random migrations and people picking the service back up.
Like I said earlier on, as well, it seems that Google+'s success is determinable by the region you're in, as well. Taiwan is apparently IN LOVE with it, and the volume of Taiwanese users astounds me.
But the major hurdle in migration is simply a lack of features when compared to Facebook, which is a major sticking point for some people. Who those people are, though, is a mystery to me. Personally, I find no one pays attention to their Facebook events anymore, or at least no one RSVPs, which eliminates half of their purpose.
But yeah, with the opening of Google+ to a public beta and the APIs being released, its influence can now have a wider reach than before. Part of why Facebook has so much activity is because, for most people, they interact with it passively through apps that link back to it (think stuff like Foursquare or multi-service apps like HootSuite). Now that users aren't going to have to be tied to the G+ website to share content anymore, it'll develop much faster than it has.
Advertising the service right on the Google home page... that's gonna be tough for people to ignore.jvalioli said:

Still love you for e-mail and DNS, though.

- Hangouts (video chat, 1-on-1 or group) can now be done via mobile phones with Android 2.3 - iOS support is coming too.
- You can now do "Hangouts On Air" - meaning you can broadcast the chats for all the world to see, and record them.
- You can now name your public hangouts so people can find them, you might have a hangout about a certain sports team or videogame for example.
- You can now do the following in a Hangout:
- Screensharing - show people what's on your screen (tranny surprise)
- Sketchpad - essentially a whiteboard you can use together (pictochat penises)
- Collaborate on a Google Docs document
- The Hangouts API has just been released, so doing the things above and watching YouTube videos is just the start. No doubt people will release games and other apps that integrate with it.- Sparks is now a part of Google+ Search. Sparks used to return news and links on subjects of interest. Now it'll return not just webpages and news, but Google+ users with the same interests or people of significance in those subjects too.
- Huddles (on mobile G+) are now just Messaging. Which is a much better title, and will be better understood by people. You can now send photos as part of your group messages, and add people to conversations easier.
I think that's pretty much everything on the latest changes. You should care because that stuff is awesome
When it comes to internet privacy, sense always leaves the building.travisbickle said:That doesn't make sense? The benefit of Google + is that people can see you but your communication with them is controlled by you.
Any posts you make you can decide to make privately to individuals/groups of friends, or publicly...
Your profile is public because it's a social networking site; like linkd in, facebook etc....but the way you communicate with people is different.

I broke up my stream into regular and inbox so that I don't miss posts from close friends. One thing I wish they had was the ability to designate preferred posters or something where you'd get a notification if they post.tirminyl said:Would love to have an iPad app for this.
Weird that people are saying their streams are empty. My stream has been active since the day I started. Always a good amount of posts on there.

Sure I can, I guess I just meant more "devote the majority of my attention to"Chorazin said:You can't use both?
