I love The Fall too.. why do you think hell turn people off?

I was hoping the Bruce Willis cameo were true.. Dennis Hopper was on Demon Days afterall. :lol

Gorillaz has a much larger mainstream appeal than a lot of other stuff I listen to. Given the success of their past two albums, I'm sure there will be some pop music lovers that will buy/download this album and be like "Who the hell is this old dude that can't sing worth a shit?"

Always glad to see more Fall fans though!

ah, yeah I guess that's true. Theyll probably say that about Lou Reed too

Damn whippersnappers

I also really loved Good Bad & Queen but who says its over?

STYLO IS AWESOME

This needs to hurry up and come out so I can buy it.

The Gorillaz uploaded it to their official youtube this morning, been listening to it all day.

Just reading "Plastic Beach (ft. Mick Jones and Paul Simonon) gave me a hard-on. FURRRCKK YEAAHH!!

I'm not too happy about the Snoop Dogg and Kano appearances though, hate both of them. But the inclusion of Mos Def and Lou Reed is awesome.

Still, OMG semi-Clash reunion with Albarn.

Wow, fucking LOVING "Stylo". I'll definitely be taking March 9 off.

Will they be releasing a vinyl as well? I found Demon Days in downtown Milwaukee, and my girlfriend tracked down a copy of the self-titled album. I'd love to keep that collection growing.

I was a little lukewarm on Stylo at first, but i just can't stop listening to it and am now in love with it. The paired back, slower and more chilled sound is so awesome, and it looks like they are continuing to evolve their sound.

Can't wait for Plastic Beach. Cool album art too.

Listening to Stylo ATM and loving it. Exactly what I expected from Gorillaz: something you don't expect. Looking forward to the album more than ever now. Day 1.

The fuck! I only learned about their third album now, stumbling onto this thread. Fucking good surprise, need to listen to stylo!

always loved the art and enjoyed the first two albums a bunch.

im sure ill be picking this one up at some point.

new song is pretty cool. as always im sure it will grow on me.

After the first few listens I was kind of underwhelmed, but then I had the urge to hear it two hours later and now I love it.

Good stuff as always.

Fantastic song, I have to say again. I love the early-mid 80s funky feel to it. Plus, Bobby Fucking Womack. This song is pure win as a result.

MARCH 9 COME TO ME.

Just heard stylo and it's alright. Like the beat. Not near as good as a lot of there other songs but I'm still excited to hear the rest of the album.

Stylo is fucking hot. And while listening, I caught that demo for Broken. My God, Gorillaz is the only group that I embrace change.

"Just took possession of ANOTHER big crate of rum. Mmmmmmm…..It’s Happy hour. In my skull! "

murdocs twitter is gold

"Downloaded instructions how to hack myself in. Just need a screwdriver, a shoehorn and a credit card, and I should be on air any moment... "

i need to buy Rise of the Ogre

Kexp.org has played this a few times. Check the playlist and then stream it from the archive.

Stylo is the shit. Its the little things that make this song great. Like after he says "Oh Stylo..." at 1:18, the little "juice" (I think that's what he says anyways) is awesome. :D

Well no, they meant it at the time. Their plans for Gorillaz have changed a lot.

I remember as far back as the first album, they were saying they had rough plans for a trilogy. Then after Demon Days, they said they were done (I think probably more as a marketing tactic).

This will likely be the final album though. Damon has made comments that they've taken the idea as far as they can, Jamie is tired of drawing these characters, and I've never heard them talk about doing anything more than 3 albums.

They said they were done releasing pop music as they had been. They said there would be a third album that would be the soundtrack to the movie, but the movie isn't now. I doubt it was a marketing tactic. I have a little more faith in Damon than that.
