Well done OP, whatever the heck it is you're doing. I also got fired some months ago....within a month I was in a better job doing less for more money with people who are genuinely nicer....and I realised that for 5 years I'd stuck out a job I hated because I was too scared to look elsewhere. Even to the point I'd suffered a mental breakdown on the job and come back just a few days later because I didn't realise the state I was in.

It's a big step up to go from "ICT Support Assistant" to "System Administrator"....and I've managed to resist the urge to write a ream of pure snark to my old boss. Good to know someone else has had the same experience.

And this is a lesson GAF....if you hate your job....make a better one happen.
