I don't know, every other Album I've picked up I've only like a hand full of songs. But this one by SOAD I got, I sit and listen to every damn song... I like them all. Talk about being able to sleep to a CD again knowing every song is good. I'm... speechless..

Radio/Video > Old School Hollywood

I love Radio/Video, one of the best songs on the Album. I hope they do a music Video to it, but it seems alot of the songs I hope to MV to never come.

SAD STATUE Is also great fucking song You and me, We'll all go down in history, With a sad Statue of Liberty, And a generation that didn't agree

That saids alot about us US folk :lol

I'm loving Old School Hollywood, Radio/Video, BYOB, Lost in Hollywood and Revenga. A truly great album.

"All you maggots smoking fags on Santa Monica Boulevard,
This is my front page,
This is my new age,
All you bitches put your hands in the air and wave them like you just don't care."

I bought the album and was very disappointed. It's only 36 minutes long! with the second album coming out I would have been happier if they had included both of them. For an anti-stuff band they sure are capitalist pigs.

the songs are good, I just wish I would have gotten more than a half-hour of music for my money.

...and that, kids, was the first time I sucked a dick for crack
Old Schoo Hollywood is the best SOAD song ever. And Question is right up there. This is their best record, too.

You can't say its the best album ever until Hypnotize is released this fall.

Also how did it do in terms of sales? Anyone know?

jeesus, you need to get a few more albums in your collection, sounds like...

that being said: im really looking forward to picking this up. SOAD kicks ass. one of the few "rock" bands getting good radio air time that actually does.

good for them i say. they deserve it.

Love the album but I'm burnt out on it already. Hell, it was only like 40 minutes long, so I was able to listen to it in its entirity like 4 times a day.

goddamit, Griese!
just because this is a SOAD thread.....on their coming tour they play anywhere from 22-25 songs. that's fucking nuts. and i love it.

Just a couple thoughts:

- I really like how SOAD uses their guitarist to sing on the albums rather than doubling up the lead singer. I think it sounds better and more like how it is live.

- The good songs on the CD are really awesome, the bad ones I don't even listen to. Cigaro is OK, Cocaine and Violent Porn I pretty much skip.

- Question! might be my favorite song, but Sad Statue and Old School Hollywood are really good

- Why'd the split up the two albums? This one's way too short.

I know everyone loves SOAD more and more as every new album comes out, but I have to say my heart is still with the first album(not that I dislike the new ones because thats not the case). It's just nothing else they have ever done comes close for me. Some of those songs get me so fired up!

fav songs from debut:

Suite Pee
War
Ddevil
Sugar
Spiders

and that's just off the top of my head... How can anything they've done afterward even hope to compete with that awesomeness!?!!
