Underwhelmed with the raw performance increase of the 5090. Was dead set on upgrading, but can wait 2 years. Not doing a because I can when I don't expect to be truly satisfied with the purchase.

If the 5070 had come with at least 16gb of vram I would have been sorely tempted. But it doesn't and so I will be sticking with my 6900XT.

As a fan of laptops, I'll have to see what the sweet spot for that category is. Right now I'm leaning towards 5080 or 5070ti. Depends on the specific models and how they allocate power to the GPU, as well as price and obviously performance.

Depends on the price in switzerland which is currently simply unknowable. You go to the nvidia website and select switzerland as your region and then you click on the gpu's link and it redirects you to the german website with their € prices

Sticking with the more powerfull Series X 💪🟢.

5070 Ti is tempting, but think im going to wait. I have a 3060ti build right now and I need to put together a new build as my motherboards getting on aswell, so a new built with a 5070ti has been on my mind while im driving about at work today (when im not daydreaming of Xbox) but im going to hold off. I have a 4080 laptop aswell which im loving along with my Rog Ally X, im thinking to hold out as much as possible towards next gen at this point as im thinking of chinning the consoles off especialy if PS release there games day 1 on PC aswell.

Looks like a good batch of GPUs though, looking forward to the reviews 💪.

Which GPU shall I go for? I also have a PS5 Pro

ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO + AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Fractal Design North Chalk White TG Clear

WD_BLACK SN850X NVMe SSD 1 TB

Gigabyte GP-UD850GM 850W 80 Plus Gold

Crucial Pro DDR5 RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL36

It won't be for a few months but I'll likely upgrade from 3080 to a 5080. Whilst the 5090 will obviously be better, for my uses and at 1440p the 5080 will be more than enough.

I honestly thought I was going to build a new PC this year. (Originally 3800xt with rtx 3070) However I upgraded the CPU to a 5800x3d and at this point I'm probably good just getting a 5070ti and calling it a day. I'm mostly going to wait to see if A:I can get one and B:If it'll fit in my case. (My case isn't small but damn these cards are getting kind of long.)

I hadn't had trouble running anything at max with my 4080, (only have a 1440p monitor) so don't see much reason to upgrade.

ditch the X670E. it's a waste of money. get a B650E instead.

good SSD choice!

not sure about crucial RAM but 6000 is good. CL36 sucks though. you want to be about CL30-32. also make sure whatever RAM you get is on the QVL list of your motherboard. I've had so many problems with RAM on AMD systems but my current G.skill kit works flawlessly.

850W psu will limit you to a 4090 or 5080. 1000W will be enough for even a 5090 it seems. I don't know what that gigabyte is like but you should always search for a PSU tier list and get the best quality one you can that fits within your budget (both financially and power wise). If a PSU seems a bit too expensive don't skimp on it. A shitty PSU can kill itself and take your entire PC with it.

If you want better performance than a PS5 Pro then a 4080 Super or 4090. potentially a 5070 if Nvidia is to be trusted. A 5080 is a safe bet (or 5090 if you get a 1000W psu).

as good as the 7800X3D is the higher the GPU the more likely you will be bottlenecked. If you're gonna play at 4K it's not really an issue but if you're wanting 1440p it MIGHT be an issue.

Probably going to wait for the 5080 Ti, though trying to figure out if 3080 Ti > 4070 Ti would be a worthy upgrade. It'd be nice to get back to a dual slot rather than these 3 slot monsters...

I said I wouldn't buy 90 class, but I really want no compromise VR performance for a few sim games I'm playing. I currently have a 7900xtx and the experience is good but requires a few (small) compromises to resolution. Don't want to go DOWN to 16gb vram so there's 1 obvious upgrade path remaining.

Question is attainability more than anything. The launches of the last few gens have been total nightmares.

Thinking of waiting for 5080 Super with more VRAM. Or potentially just grabbing 5070Ti.

I want to see the results first but going to try and just get 5070Ti on release since I think that will get sold out quickly. And 5090 is just too much 💰.

Edit: I wouldn't open 5070Ti though until I see real reviews. Just suspect it will be hard to get so will try to jump on it.

Will wait to see PS6 ram pool size and then buy above that.

This is too expensive to not be a strategic decision.
32GB RAM and 12GB is currently where PC is sitting. My PC has total of 80GB (64GB RAM 16GB VRAM) and I want a 5090 with 32GB VRAM which will bring me up to 96GB RAM.

I doubt the PS6 will have anywhere near 44GB RAM lol and if it does it'll still be weaker than PC.

edit: i lied. 16GB / 8GB is where most PCs are but 32GB / 12-16GB is quickly taking over.

Rocking the 1060 laptop as long as it draws breath.

Trails into Daybreak 2 should run on it just fine, just like the first one.

Looking to go from a 4070 to 5070ti. Gonna need to see some benchmarks first. Mainly on DLSS. Transformer method takes 4x the compute. Wanna see how my 4070 does. If it's worth it, I'll just sell my old card to my nephew for 200 or something.
