I think the thing with a NASCAR track (an oval track anyway, since Infineon is in the game) is that whats the difference really between an official NASCAR oval and Super Speedway/Test Track from the other versions of GT since the main game play mechanic on an oval is draft to overtake. You can do that on any oval.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not aware of any special differentiating features of the various short-tracks and larger ovals on the Nascar circuit in terms of scenery. I know they all vary in banking, tarmac type, etc but the visual difference just isn't there when compared with an F1 or DTM track.

Setting someone up to take them in the 130R at Suzuka or at Adenauer Forst on the Nurburgring is a completely different matter however. :D

I think Sony needs to start a Halo 3 Level ad campaign for PS3 once GT 5 Prologue is ready to roll to showcase any and every game possible.

Im not a fan of the new GT-R. The thing just looks wrong to me. Still, I have owned every one since the R32 so I will keep that going.

Well their won't be officially licensed but GT3 had some of the greatest F1 cars from history, fully modeled just without the proper livery. They even included the engine size and first initial of the driver who drove the car (S for Senna, Schumi and P for Prost, etc). So having F1 cars is definitely a possibility.

The F1 tracks without a doubt are on the way, since the 'Ring, Shanghai and Suzuka are already listed.

That beast looks awesome! I love it, I feel in love with the R34 but this will definitely be mine Spring 2008.

The Daytona track most probably mentioned is the Daytona road course.

The famous "24 hours of Daytona" ir run in this course configuration, that includes both an infield part with right and left hand turns, and also including part of the famous oval track.

Man cant wait for more news on this. Is october for a US demo release confirmed??

i wonder if the bare bones games will really be worth $40-$45... I have no doubt it will be utterly SLAMMED in the reviews due to price point and hype. My guess is 6.5/10 average (even though the racing system and graphics will rock... hard).

I'd pay $45 to have the chance to play this with online play and sweet options, instead of waiting for GT5 to be released. Lord knows Polyphony is known for their perfection

, so who knows it could be another year before we even see it.

you do realize motorstorm sold (close to or over, to lazy to look) 1 million copies with a similar amount of content at 60 bucks, and got halfway decent scores, right?

people seem less forgiving with the PSN games, not to mention the PS3 in general is under more and more scrutiny by reviewers as time goes by. Its all a matter of whether this game can live up to its hype, I for one can't wait to try out and get destroyed at using the pro racing physics mode w/ the steering wheel :D

They'll release a free demo, and the assholes will still bleat; "baaaat eeetttsss a demooooo! You shouldn't have to pay for a demooo!" (with regards to GT5P game).

LOL at NASCAR being in here... It'll truly be a sad sad day when that happens... Daytona Speedway, like some other have touched on, but continuously missed by others, will most likely be in alt-config... Most likely, the Euduro-ribbon... I've been at Pocono, and you'd run up on the banks/straight for a lil bit, but, mainly it's all inside layout; Short, barely enough to be called straights ("go") sections with mainly low speed-flat turns...

Top Gear was a must out of every car show there is. So its good that they got it. Would be cool if they got the guys to do some GT5/TG cross promotion stuff also.

It was confirmed, it was in the official press release, but this is still awesome beyond awesome.

Now we just need to learn what's in the demo - one track, I'd imagine, and a bit of online play / leaderboards?

I don't think any specific show had been confirmed, it was just TG was the one everyone would mention as an example.

Wasn't Kazunori Yamauchi in the top fifty-forty of (top 100) most important people in the car industry (above the CEO of Ferrari among others no less)? GT5 is going to be so insanely huge.
