I would love to buy this game but my PS4, XBOne and Wii U are taking up all my inputs and I have no shelf space to hook up my PS3.

I really wish they would've made PS4 BC.

Man, it's hard going from Forza to GT. The sound, visuals and customization/upgrades/tuning is just so much better in Forza.

But the physics with the wheel is still sublime as ever!

So, now that some of you have been playing it: yay or nay? My husband has been a GT fan since GT2 and I've been looking forward to surprising him with this on Christmas. Should I buy it for him or not? If it meas he'll be swearing at the game through Christmas, I would rather not.

Spent around 3 hours playing the game this afternoon, really enjoying it so far. The new challenges are fun, stuff like driving as far as you can using just one litre of fuel, and the scenarios where you have to over take so many cars in a certain amount of time.

I know people are making a big fuss about the purchasing in game credits affecting the game, but so far I haven't even seen an option to buy them. Progress seems pretty much like all the earlier games in that regard, win a car for completing your license, completing all races in a class etc.

At least I get the AnED for the first price and not the up adjusted one.

Has anyone found this? I was in the middle of navigating through quick settings in free drive and my G27 just flat out refuses to navigate out of the menu. The ticker still scrolls down the bottom so it isn't locked up... it just doesn't do anything.

Edit: Just powered up my DS3, couldn't navigate either (even after reassigning it as the #1 controller). Went to the PS menu and did "Quit game", which proceeded to restart the PS3, beep three times then tell me the console didn't shut down correctly.

WTF.

If at this point you're still choosing between the PSN or disc version, know that the PSN took me less than an hour to download, but has been installing now for over four hours and is at 95%. So for me, if I had gone to the store, I'd probably already have a few nice cars at this point ... :(

Has the bonnet cam been lowered a bit? Seems from footage that it's not as silly high as it was placed in gt5, but I'm not sure.

Very true.
If GT6 drives just as well as Forza 5 and scores lower then that is very fishy...

That being said, I thought Forza 3/4 drove amazingly well at the time but going back to it now just isn't the same.
Physics, AI, and car feedback (through the triggers) makes Forza 5 drive/play significantly better than previous Forza games.

If GT6 is able to duplicate or better the physics, AI and feel of Forza 5 AND have shed loads more content and features then I hope it scores 10s across the board.

They finally sent me the last PSN code and I can buy the game on the PSN site. Sure, I missed out on the pre-order bonus, but whatever. The livery is ugly as sin anyway.

But, because I obviously deserve it, my internet at home is completely down since yesterday and I can't download the game on my fricking PS3.

Fuuuuuuuuuck!

Just did the first race on Brands Hatch, graphically it was a lot better than I had expected.

The intro video was 60fps? Looked so much better than on youtube.

So much better now they have fixed the loading times. Cutting down the number of tests for a given license was a smart move also.

Heed this advice: do not wait for this game to DL. Either buy the disc or set it up and go to work/run some errands etc. The install is painfully long, and worse, slows down to an absolute crawl at about the 90% mark. I thought I'd fire it up early this morning and ... Well, not a great idea.

Screw using analogue sticks for acceleration/breaking :p

The patch takes a long time to install?
Or are you referring to the mandatory game data install?

Triggers for Acceleration/Braking
Right stick for Gear UP (down), Gear DOWN (up)

I've used that for a long time and works nicely.

Sims are better with wheels. I've never played Forza 5 and I can say that for sure - no matter how good the rumble triggers are, you can't beat proper force feedback for a sim. However, if you enjoy playing Forza in a more arcade style (e.g. chase cam, aids on, etc), then I guess using a wheel is less important.

Sometimes I play more arcade like with chase cam and automatic gear shifting, but I do also play cockpit view with assists off depending on my mood.

Will def try a wheel at some point but currently really limited for choice on X1.

I would love to buy a wheel for this but since I'm also getting a PS4 I won't do it until I'm sure it will be supported.

Is it really worth turning it to 720p when I'm not going to use the in car view. I have noticed some brief screen tearing. But looks really good otherwise and load times are great.

What are the best set ups for controls and views and assists and things?

It doesnt seem like I can turn off parts of the race info its all or nothing I dont like the car list down the side the UI seems a bit big in general.

When I was entering my preorder codes I managed to get two million credits instead of one. I think it's because I entered the next code without clicking OK on the white box confirming I had redeemed the credits, worth a try if you haven't put them in yet :)
