Sony ain't giving in for subscription shit. Run it in the cinemas, then gain more money later from Netflix or others. Smart business, like gaming.

Looks pretty dull to be honest.
And the poster is hilariously bad. Makes it seem like a movie I'd have asked my dad to go watch when I was 12 to show him how cool gamers are and that I'm totally gaining valuable skills by playing Halo instead of doing my homework.

Good cast. Good director. One of the writers wrote creed 3 and king Richard and the other American sniper. There's a lot of talented people involved in this.

I think you just described the sales pitch for this movie. I'm gonna give it a chance, but not getting my hopes up.

They are actually gonna cover his fatal crash.....brave to say the absolutely least.
I didnt spot the GTR LM Nismo......im guessing with Nissan sponsoring this they want to completely erase that car from existance......and the delta wing.

Its in the trailer and is pretty common knowledge for anyone following the GT Academy or any racing for that matter.

And if they are dramatizing things the crash might not be fatal.

The most unrealistic thing about this is that a fucking yank would be training GT series drivers :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Well.....Uncharted did surprise me in a positive way :)
By the way, in a recent podcast, Asad Qizilbash, the Head of PlayStation Productions, revealed that Uncharted was already in production. PlayStation Productions was founded after that and joined the project midway.

HBO's The Last of Us was the 1st project that Asad's new team and department started from scratch.

I now understand why Uncharted wasn't as good as it could have been (it was still pretty decent though). And given TLOU's performance, I'm excited for all upcoming projects they have lined up -- especially for Ghost of Tsushim and God of War.

It looks solid enough. I'm sure racing and car enthusiasts will enjoy it. David Harbour and Orlando Bloom are probably just enough star power to get some others to buy a ticket. Certainly not for me though.

What I don't get is how you go from gran turismo to movie....There's no scenario or characters, so it has to become a rise of the champion movie which will be one if not the most common trope in movies.

Looks like garbage and PlayStation studios should think twice as hard next time they think having stupid people making a movie adaptation of one of their biggest IPs is a good idea.
This is based on a true story though.... can't get more authentic than that.

The funny thing is for me when I first heard of the GT movie, this is exactly what I hoped they would do, make a movie based on the guy that went from playing GT esports to racing in that Nissan GT partnership they did.

These modern trailers are terrible.
Please stop with song from rapper and trapper that want to sound "BAD" but they are just bad, and cringe.
Stop with fast paced editing, and stop with show me the whole story in 2 minutes.

Theyre going to take in as much box office as they can before the Ferrari movie Michael Mann is doing releases. That's more of a prestige/award season movie if you go by their cast and creatives.

This looks surprisingly good tbh, David Harbour brings a lot of heart to the tone of the film. Never thought a movie based on Gran Turismo would come across as this interesting (despite loving the games).

Looks OK, but nothing special. Jann never reached the heights that some people probably hoped, never was a big success in SuperGT. In the end Jann will probably get a nice paycheck.
