A realistic but hilarious commercial(like for Burger Shot, for instance) fit right in for me.
I thought it was the perfect thing for VC or SA but in GTA4 that kind of thing didn't work as well for me. It did lighten the mood which was nice but it still felt off.

Also, we are going to need a OP update the second this goes down. I'm at work and I won't be able to see the trailer/teaser.

Do Want:

- Variety of vehicles (planes, scooters, rocket packs, roadbikes, wave runners, parachutes)
- More likable character (no emo depressed run-of-the-mill anti-hero)
- Better animation. When i mean better, i mean i dont have to wait for the animation to finish to climb over a fence before i can start running again.
- Better driving mechanic. GTA4's cars were no fun. at all. for a game called Grand Theft Auto, it should be.
- Property. Being able to own your own mansions and cars was awesome. Bring that back R*.

Driving was fine; it just took getting used to. I can drive in and out of traffic with no problem after putting in some time. As for property, it all depends on the story they are telling. It would have made no sense story-wise to have Niko buying up property.

DO NOT WANT:

- Cellphones. Unless you can only make outgoing calls, and get mission based calls. Having friends bother you was annoying and pointless.
- Unusable areas. Hey look at this cool Prison that we can't break into or out of, or this awesome Coney island like Carnival that we can't use at all! (Granted, i only played vanilla GTA4)
- Automatic maxed out wanted level whenever you go to another island. Every single GTA starts that same, with the bridges being our or there being some terrorist threat that stops you from seeing its entirety. The world should be unlocked at the beginning.

Eh, cell phones the first time through, for me at least, weren't a bother. It added backstory to the characters and made me more emotionally invested in them. You should play TBOGT and LATD.

I get what you are saying, but honestly if they didn't throw in some humor at times it would have been depressing as shit, to me at least.

I actually thought the missions using the cellphone were great. The one where you talk to the guy you have to kill while in the crowd with him was my favorite one.

So IGN is showing it live?

Who need IGN to redirect the browser on rockstargames.com?

Also I love how the driving is in IV, feels very realistic. After IV i replay San Andreas and the old system feel very off. I can't imagine a car from San Andreas in a realistic setting like Liberty City in GTAIV.

Don't fucking change that.

The driving was sexy as hell in GTA:IV taking a car round a corner at speed never got old. Even better outwitting cops with some smooth getaway work.

Tip to bad drivers go play GTA Race it will improve your driving immensely.

Yeah, just played GTA: SA and the driving is SO MUCH worse than GTA 4

I agree with that, It would have been depressing. I just didn't think it matched the tone of the game like in previous installments. They have to have those things in there, or it won't be GTA to me. I think they should have made the main story a bit less serious.

Yea, driving in GTAIV was fucking perfect, same as riding a horse in RDR. I get turned of by other open world games where cars turn around like 2 pound boxes. Breaks the immersion right away. God I hate that!

Also, Little Jacob is the man. He is very loyal to Niko throughout the game. Also forgot about the tw@ internet cafe. Some of the emails, spam received, hilarious websites(Krapea instead of Ikea was one that I particularly remember) and hookups all added to the immersion for me.

I agree, much more fun to drive around in GTA4, you actually had more control, once you learnt to use the handbrake correctly.

Get prepared for 60 seconds of logos, a black screen, and a voice over.

I would rage so fucking hard.

But seriously, it's not something they normally do, you can extrapolate quite a lot from GTA teasers normally.

I agree with this. I have a lot of complaints about GTA4, but the driving was nuanced and a big improvement. Cars actually handled differently.

They didn't do that with GTA4, VC, SA, or GTA4 so I'm not expecting it this time either

These guys know how to craft videos.

We will be able to place the game already after the first notes of the music track used in the trailer.

And yes the driving in GTA4 was perfect. I remember when the game came out and so many cried about it, made no fucking sense.

If GTA5 has GTA4 driving + SA countryside/highways I'll be in gaming nirvana

lowrider007

Licorice-flavoured booze?
Unless they pull something quite original out of the bag, namely a unique environment, or a female protagonist, it's going to be hard to impress me tbh.

If I were Dan Brown/Robert Langdon, I'd have to wager that the main character is a Female and a Hooker

"V" being the symbol for female/femininity

And the V also being drawn colored in with the design of Money.

Some of you just might get your wish! lol

Camera was a bit iffy, but driving itself was top notch.

- look of main character
- snippet of city/cities
- whether there will be areas outside city

that's the bare minimum I'm expecting to see

Rockstar is usually pretty good about making bad ass trailers that give you a lot of info about the game. When GTAIV trailer dropped, basically told us everything we had to know about era, character, and city. The rest we got a few weeks later from Game Informer cover.

They usually don't fill their trailers with logos or crap, they treat it like a movie and a trailer for the game, not for Rockstar.
