We agree..No disagreement from me just talking about character assets for npcs only.Nothing to do with art style, CP2077 technically is generational better than HFW and thats a fact. The lighting alone is several generation ahead and than you have the RT reflections and shadows. Those are areas that HFW lacks heavy. The art is also great and combined with awesome tech you get the best looking game out there.
That shot looks good but most shots doesnt look anywhere near that good in CP. The npcs look outdated in fidelity overall. Without PT to distact away from it they dont meet what I would call the standard for a modern npc asset quality. They have the number of details and a silhouette complexity of years past. It is what it is.Again such a hyperbole nonsense, it has one of the best skin shaders and assest out there

TLOU2 was patched on PS5. It runs at 60 fps now.
They havent released a PS5 only SKU for it but dont expect a big performance bump from it. Faster loading and thats about it.

LoU2 is Sony's magnum opus of technology. Dualsense support and a higher resolution (even if only 1660p) would elevate this game.

The first one always felt a bit AA to me in terms of budget but a good game none the less. This is a proper AAA version of that which expands every facet of the original along with adding more optional content.

It might end up looking on par with rdr2, maybe a little better but it will look a gen behind the matrix.

So... I just started RE4MAKE and finished the first chapter. the wonderful sense of nostalgia and the solid gameplay aside,

because besides lighting which is impressive at times, the game does not look vastly superior to Village or RE2 for that matter.
the later chapters might be more visually pleasing, with all the rain and lighting tricks, as some have said on here,

I will keep playing the game and report back but I was under the impression that this was the first "next-gen" demonstration of RE engine.
before the game was released, I criticised RE4make's lackluster use of RE engine in comparison with DMC V and I was crucified for it.

I don’t think Spider-Man PS5 looks a million miles away from The Matrix when you consider you’re swinging through the city most of the time and I’m betting they’ve sped the traversal speed up for the sequel because of the SSD which means I think they’ll get pretty close with SM2. Obviously on close inspection it’s not going to hold up to Nanite’s insane geometric detail but in a game about fast traversal it matters little imo.
GTAVI will pleasantly surprise people visually I think. Not talking path tracing obviously but as always they will have a really great balance between art and tech while having what feels like a real, living, breathing World. Something 99% of open World games fail at. I think they’ll push physics systems further too as that’s what gets the games on the likes of tiktok etc.

I expect some things to look better like the random car damage system and maybe the npcs in the street.
