Jesus isn't a human being -- he doesn't count.

Ahh, I dont want to start anything but Jesus (pbuh) is a human being and he (pbuh) was sent by God as a Prophet and Messenger only.

Jesus (pbuh) Is Not God.

Jesus is divine. Not human.

Also, I think he's part cyborg.

Pope vs Patriach round one!!!

*hot girl holds up a sign and walks off camera as the Pope and Patriarch start swinging their staves at eachother.*

Actually Jesus is considered fully Human....and fully Divine. So yea, he could be considered the greatest human.

My vote, though, goes to....hmm, I don't know it's a tough one. I'll get back to you.

If Jesus is a human being, then ignoring the effect he's had on the human race through way of religious influence...

on a personal level, he's pretty cool, but I'd wager they're plenty of guys like him in today's world, given the numbers... people that are pious and respectful, abstain from negative influences, humble, etc, etc. I mean, sure they're rare and you're not likely to meet one.... but I'd say more than a handful of people like this exist in today's world.

Jesus was a machine or tool for the christian change in that respect... by himself, christianity is relatively nothing... but somehow, something worked out... likely because constantine decided to adopt christianity as the official religion in Rome.

Given that; christianity is the effect of a couple major key figures, jesus and constantine...

Mohammed is the greatest guy to have ever lived; where jesus was like a pauper, mohammed was a friggin prince. He made vast sweeping changes in his time, and his direct legacy continues to grow; which can't be said for many other super conquerors of history.

Jesus as a person is overrated as all buggery.

I'd rate him on equal scale as that young super successful motivational speaker.

And my pick would be Muhammed as well. If you take a look at history including Biblical history, the Prophets were the most important people of their times, even influencing us today.

Muhammed was unique in the sense that most of his everyday life was recorded, and it gives you a lot of insight on how he was an orphan, a father, grandfather, a soldier, a peacemaker, a leader, an outcast, etc. all in one.

It's kind of like Daniel, David, Moses, Abraham and Jesus combined when you look at what a person goes through.

I dont understand disagreeing with someone is trolling?

You go out of your way to 'correct' him, but then you state something that is way out of line with many other versions of the 'truth'; so yes, your correction, assuming you have the mental faculty to understand the subtelties of argument and human communication, was rather facetious. In otherwords, shut the fuck up and throw in your own opinions... well you don't have to, we'd know what you'd say from a handle like that; but unlikely to back it up from a secular viewpoint; which is a viewpoint independent of religions, rather than exclusive of them... which you'll need if you want a reasonable gathering of people of different religions without everyone getting up in arms and killing each other over the different interpretations of their holy scriptures.

You should take your own advice.

Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) was never a prince. He was a poor man just like Prophet Jesus (pbuh). Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) had nothing in arabia. Before he died He (pubh) rule all of arabia. Where do you get your info from? Check with your secular viewpoints also they will say the same.

About the part where I disagreed about Jesus (pbuh), someone said this isnt the place and He is right sorry about that but I am not going to let people lie about what Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) was or wasnt.

influential? i guess by threatening death people have no choice but to follow you

well, it's more than that in terms of influence. Hitler was undoubtably the catalyst that led to World War 2 which is (IMO) unarguably the most important event of the modern era. The war itself and its effects have shaped the modern world in very dramatic ways, affecting everything from modern science to literature to (obviously) world politics. We still live with the effects of the war today (Israel, the European decolonization of Africa and Asia), etc. Hence, he's the most influential figure of the twentieth century. He still sucked as a human being, and was certainly not the greatest human being ever, but was very influential. Why do you think the history channel has at least 10 hours of programming a day devoted to the guy?

Don't forget that he was (before the whole Chancellor-for-life thing) elected by the German people. The nazis followed him willingly, not because of some perceived threat on their lives.

And finally, why do the Islamic people in this thread keep saying (pbuh). WTF is up with that?

I agree with those who've sofar mentioned Martin Luther King and Jesus (the person).

I read his autobiography and fell in love with the man. I know he made some shit up and put it in there to make himself look a bit better--still doesn't change my opinion.
