Collider is reporting that the new series will focus more on the Corps than a single Lantern. Right now Jordan and Stewart are the two front runners. Theres a possibility that the actors will be revealed at Comic con.

Keep in mind that the movie is still in early development and a lot of things can change, but we’re hearing that the new Green Lantern movie will focus on more than one human Green Lantern.

Furthermore, the franchise will continue to focus on different Green Lanterns and never on just one, so really the Green Lantern movies look like they’ll be more about the Green Lantern Corps, which is an interesting approach.

But before we get there, the plan is just to focus on these two or three human Green Lanterns, and there’s a real possibility that Warner Bros. will introduce the Green Lanterns at Comic-Con this year at their panel in Hall H on Saturday. And if WB does bring on multiple Green Lanterns, then presumably one or more of them will pop up in Justice League.

The most popular Green Lantern is Hal Jordan, who was the main character in the 2011 movie. However, Guy Gardner and John Stewart later followed Jordan, and they weren’t the last in the comics. But we’re hearing possibly two or all three—Jordan, Stewart, and Gardner—could be the leads of Warner Bros’ Green Lantern reboot.

Take with a grain of salt obviously. Lock if old

Wonder how they are going to approach this? I see the writer of that article calls it a 'series' but he is referring to the movie. For some reason I find that confusing. We talking TV here or movies?

I love how it's just a Patlabor. They couldn't even bother to modify the design a bit.

You're a green lantern, you're in a pinch, you need to think a solution quickly, and your solution involves a mecha.

Your mind will undoubtly conjure an anime mecha you're a fan of or familiar with because that's way faster than coming up with your own desing.

Kyle is just showing his power level.

Michael Fassbender as Hal and Idris Elba as John Stewart. I'll settle for Idris for both roles if they cannot secure Fassbender.

That...is actually exactly what I was hoping for!

The Green Lantern Corps is supposed to be huge so use it.

A dual protagonist superhero movie actually could be awesome.

Especially with GL and different personalites meaning different constructions.

So it's a intergalactic buddy cop film?

That's actually a much better idea than a tired reboot of a movie that just came out or completely switching directions. If they're smart they'll pull an Incredible Hulk and make it a psuedosequel that assumes everyone who cares saw the last one which lets them jump right into the story with just a few minor retcons.

I'm very intrigued... as long as they had Hal Jordan in there. Sinestro vs Hal has to happen.

Also, if we're "jumping into" a Lantern Corps story, that further cements the idea that WB wants to hit the ground running and waste no time setting up the story. Which has it's upsides and downsides.

Give John the League spot.

Yes please, have him and Flash play off the funny couple routine while the trinity remains "serious"... mostly.

Definitely the best approach for Green Lantern going forward follow the comics and the Bruce Timm show approach and you got a winner.

nah, fuck bubbles and ray beams. We need some imagination, especially dealing with the cosmic scene. Bruce Timm is too simplistic.

...huh. i'd feared the franchise would stay dead longer, too

best lantern, still gets slept on in most GL media

i'd put up with Guy to get more Kyle, yeah

Geoff Johns can go in the bushes
