I was never on the tyrese ship, always felt he couldn't carry a movie, but if they are going full blown lanterns and having 2-3 human lanterns, then why not. He is at his best when hes with an ensemble, only issue I have is John is not really a character that is jokey and funny. Sure he can be but he should be stern and by the book.

They are not gonna do Tyresse because Warner doesnt wanna be laughed at for the next decade, he is not gonna get that role, nobody wants him on that role, whitewashing critics would prefer Donald Sterling to the role before Tyresse. They should cast him as the mushroom lantern and kill him in the movie to drive that point home.

When I was a kid i liked green lantern because my eyes were green and so i got a green lantern toy and made him the guy who won every single fight.
but then know when i read about his shit on wikipedia and watched some cartoons about him he's just a guy who has a magic ring that can do anything. and now there's other people/aliens from every planet everywhere who can do the same thing.
what the hell? so basically, you're only the "green lantern" because you have the ring, and you can do anything you want because you believe in it. and also there are thousands of other beings across the galaxy that can do the same thing.
green lantern is lame.
superheroes are defined by their personal flaws and strengths.
superman is invincible, but he's too naive and way TOO magnanimous.
batman is great, but he has no superpowers so he's insecure and an untrusting egotistical self-centered manipulative demanding asshole.
flash is also basically invincible, but he's too cocky and arrogant.
wonder woman? she's awesome and invincible, but writers make her weak because shes a female. dicks.
green lantern? he's a guy with a magic harry potter ring. personal characteristics? he's a guy who has a ring.
