They need to include all the times Hal got knocked out, forget one punch, stick in Hal getting knocked out by branches, flying through yellow bill boards and the like. Or just slipping in the bathroom.
this one is my favorite.

Synopsis for "The Leap Year Menace!"

With a legion of female fans fawning over him, Carol fears that Green Lantern's days as a bachelor are numbered and wants to be the one to pop him the big question. When she tells Hal, it gives him a heads up that she intends to propose to him as Green Lantern at the local charity ball. When stuck in a with having to answer her, Green Lantern wills his power ring to create a "menace" for him to stop. However, Hal is knocked out when he's hit in the head with a toy plane and his "menace" unwittingly causes trouble around town by stumbling around and being generally clumsy. Green Lantern revives and makes the "menace" disappear before the military can strike it with their weapons.

Green Lantern is commended for "destroying" the creature (Which he feels bad accepting the praise since he created the "menace" to begin with, but keeps mum about the truth.) When Carol tries once more to propose to Green Lantern, his legion of fans show up all proposing to him as well. Seeing this as an our, G.L. tells the ladies that he can't marry them all and leaves.

I haven't read any Green Latern comic, so I don't know how the film is going to be, but if it is a space buddy cop film with a serious John Stewart (judging from what I remember from Justice League tv series) and a Hal Jordan who tells wisecracks, then I'm all in. For Justice League I want Hal, because of his interaction with Barry and Batman.

I'd be down for this. Though it'll be a tough call on which Green Lantern to use in Justice League. More likely than not they'll go with Hal, but I can also see them going with John.

I understad DC/WB would want to push Hal Jordan for consistency and such, but they would really be better served trying out Kyle Rayner with modern audiences. Even if they need to basically incorporate his general personality into their on-screen Hal Jordan.

The Green Lantern in the movie, who was purely Hal, came off like a 45 year old man (that bar scene - woof). And the writers did him justice by the character. The problem is, that character is firmly stuck in 1990 as a 45 year old man.

Hal is really not that bad, and Hal jordan in the movie was not particularly faithful to his comic counterpart. Hal jordan for example would not quit training because it was too hard. People always seem to exagerate Hal and John as more one dimensional then they are and it always seems as a means to prop kyle up. Don't get me wrong I love kyle, but Hal and John aren't nearly that bad.

I don't think Hal and John are one-dimensional, I just find them boring characters. Kyle and (god forbid) Guy are far more interesting and entertaining, based on all of my experience with the GL as a whole.

Chris Pine and Tyrese Gibson on stage at sdcc Warner panel. I can accept Pine, but hope they get someone else for Stewart. However, Gibson being the only name going around for Stewart is worrying. If he does get the role, hopefully he can surprise me wit his performance.

This. I always viewed Stewart as a serious guy, maybe not darkly serious but doesn't make a fool of himself. Tyrese Gibson, though...

Where's there's smoke, there's fire

Another rumor about Pine being Hal has popped up

I'm ok with this. It's a great choice.

As for John Stewart? I would rather see Denzel over Tyrese Gibson. I'd be ok with him, but I'd rather see like a younger, brasher Hal Jordan tempered by an older, wiser (even though he'd be less experienced) John Stewart. It seems like there's potentially better chemistry to be had there, IMO.

I kinda always pictured John to be like Ghostbusters 1/2 Ernie Hudson. Serious enough to bring credit to the role, but can throw out a few one liners and not seem out of place.
