GT4 was released in australia today, so I go down and pickup my preorder.
Come back, put it in the PS2, try to boot it up... doesn't work. Ok, that's fine, My PS2 is a bit old anyway, plus the laser is a bit weak; other games often require 1+ reboots to get them working.
7 reboots later, well that's not good.
Put it into my PC DVD ROM, shows me that it's 3.2 gigs large. I thought this game was 9gigs? Well, I guess there's alot of hidden data that my PC can't see.
Retry it again, a few more times. Still not working.
Anyway, the deal is I've modded my PS2 from a while back, original games that I have still work (upto Soul Calibur 2). And so do recent games that I've downloaded.
Is it the laser? does it have problems reading dual layer DVDs? It can play DVDs fine...
does GT4 not like mod-chips?
I guess I'll just return my copy and get another copy... if that doesn't work, I'll save up for a PSTwo I guess.
