You don't create this much with just some placeholder models, lighting, animations and so on. Those debug windows, obviously those are cut for production build only, that's ok.

Vice City was pretty vanilla from what I remember. The pornstar stuff was the most risque thing (for a 2002 game). San Andreas was the raunchy one lol

None of us can say for sure but I imagine its an iterative process. There’s footage of early MGS3 development, for example, which shows off a new environment but just uses Snake’s MGS2 model.

That is true, however model of character is understandable, but those buildings does not seems to be placeholders...and if you don't want to waste time, you sort of building some playable world with some memory constrains in mind. Those sort of determine quality. Since I don't expect them to have nanites from UE5, you have to take into consideration the LOD models and so on.

I have watched every vid and now I'm sure it's real. No one will make it this far and so realistic - it's like making basically new GTA game. Impossible. It doesn't look like UE5 game too.
