I'm honestly amazed that neither MS or Sony were smart enough to pay or develop an enhanced port of this game for their hardware launch.

Yeah Criminal is damn fine.
I have the two huge books (hardcover, deluxe edition or whatever it's called).
Maybe they looked into, but found it to be too expensive. Look at how much MS paid just for time exclusive DLC.

Anyone know if areas of the world will be blocked before you beat a certain mission? I kind of want that to be the case for nostalgia's sake. I used to love unlocking new areas on the older games.

Will not happen because of the fact that you can play with 3 protagonists each scattered throughout the world. That is why they opened everything up from the start.

I like to look at it as, if I watch Breaking Bad three more times, GTA 5 will be right around the corner.

You can barely see the SONY logo if you look closely. Also you can see what appears to be an index finger on the left which means someone really is playing it.
Also it's on the TV screen, which means it can't be a fake made on PC.

I'm still marathoning the last few Rockstar games to tide me over and get me reacquainted with Rockstar's story telling and gameplay.
GTAIV -> Lost and Damned (currently on this game) -> Gay Tony -> Red Dead (+nightmare?) -> Max Payne 3
Only using free aim.
Its been fun.
I can't wait to get my hands on GTAV. The city/setting and the characters are going to have so much detail packed in. I want to see how well RAGE is running now. I cannot wait to see the things Rockstar learned about building vistas and giant open areas from Red Dead, and apply that to an HD GTA experience.
