Spend most of the day installing a new SSD or playing GTA V

I hate how the helicopters handle in this GTA :( they were great in SA and VC, but the realism added in this one to how they handle kind of kill the appeal they had. Planes are still good though, but I dread any mission in which you have to pilot a heli

I felt the same when I first started playing GTA5, but it doesn't take too long to get used to it. Get used to using the rudder (RB/LB if using gamepad) alot as it allows precise movement.

When I was chasing 100%, I had Trevor piloting his chopper like a pro picking up all the spaceship parts and letters.

Is the difference between High and Very High textures not that big? I bumped mine up to Very High (which put me about 200MB over my VRAM amount) and I haven't noticed any real framerate difference or any real texture difference either.

so whats the deal with the lag in this game. it's making it very hard for me to want to do anything co op related. people teleport everywhere. If someone is driving the car appears to stop for a good ten seconds then it syncs up and I'm somewhere else. I have a pretty slow connection but i can play every other PC game with no issues online.

who knows, I've been getting the same issues too.

Is this game even server based?

I wouldn't be surprised if it's P2P when doing co-op/multiplayer missions.

There

I really think it's P2P and it's thus far the only thing killing my enjoyment of the game.

The P2P part isn't as bad most of the time in missions and heists. Open world can get some mighty bad lag though when it's full of people and the master clients machine or connection are garbage.

Good Heisting with a bunch of NeoGangers today. Will gladly heist with you all again. And lol @ salsa shark finishing the Series A finale at level 3. Having a big 50 cal sure does even the playing field ;)

dipped my toe into GTA online and played a couple heists with some PC neogangers

character looks appropiately like a sleazy douchebag

think he came out okay considering how bad the created characters look

online heists are fun but they make me wish the game ran better. it's more than fine on SP but those dips hurt the MP experience for sure

once im done with the story I guess i'll tone stuff down to play MP at constant rock solid 60

Good times.

I just realized how much Rockstar likes to put their logo everywhere. It's in the loading hints, the medal icons when you complete a mission, the background of the iFruit app, and probably more that I can't remember. What's up with that?

I guess it'll be hard for Take2 to "Kojimalize" them :p.

Question for the R* social club people (non steam buyers).

I just got the game and activated it on R* Social clubs website on my account (confirmed it was activated etc), I'm now in the process of downloading the game - but on the website my profile page it still shows at the bottom corner "activate GTA V PC now".

Will it not show up on the website as activated until i actually run the game once downloaded?.

Sigh... Played all night just fine and then the game crashed in the middle of Trevor's first mission.

When I got back to the desktop the Rockstar launcher was telling me that I had been logged off from it because my account was used elsewhere.....hmmmm
Rockstar Social Club logs you out whenever the game shuts down without exiting properly, and then lies to you about why it did that.

Every time you end the process in task manager, you get logged out because "your account was accessed from elsewhere".

Quick question, how many jobs/side missions are there available to earn much money once "you've done everything" in the endgame? (Please no spoilers, just tell me if there is anything at all to do).
I remember in GTA IV I ran out of money after finishing it 100% because there was nothing left to do in order to earn money.

So I have two questions but I would like to have spoiler-free answers:
- If I am correct,
there are multiple endings to this game. Do I have to save after a certain mission and keep that save to be able to watch a different ending, or there's no problem with that? (aka I just restart the last mission and chooste another ending)

- Is there anything I can miss because of doing the main story? example: after doing a certain mission, a certain activity dissapears from the map and I can't do it anymore.

I don't see Take-Two being receptive to the idea that the game should remain console-exclusive. I mean, sure, Take-Two doesn't like to disturb its golden goose (very few publisher-owned studios could get away with something like Max Payne 3 -- announced in 2009 but ultimately releasing two-and-a-half years later than originally planned), however, at the end of the day, it is the one paying the bills, PC gamers have been vocal about their desire for a port since, well, E3 2009, and GTA5's almost insultingly late PC port surpassed Skyrim as the most popular non-Valve game in Steam's history (in terms of concurrent player numbers) -- which is all the more impressive when you consider that the only store selling the Steam version is Steam itself.

At the end of the day, though, this is all just speculation and I don't mean to imply that my enduring optimism is the only logical conclusion.

I understand that, but I think your optimism is firmly grounded in reality. Whatever happens, what you say makes perfect sense financially speaking.

Having a stupid amount of fun with GTA online. Bought this game for the fourth time for mods never having touched this, really hope they can be introduced without effecting this mode too much

How do I get rid of the glasses I've given my character? And where on earth do you find ATM machines? I've got 30 grand on me from deathmatches I don't want stolen lol

Once you beat the game,
you can replay the other endings in the Replay Missions tab. However, some endings will make you unable to 100% the game due to reasons in the story.

Thanks for the heads up about the iFruit app being updated. I noticed that the manual app was updated over the weekend but didn't think to check the iFruit app since I figured they would need some more time.

I was zoning out on the game over the weekend so I didn't get any crew invites handled, sorry about that. I will start checking them from in game too if I read that they can be accepted from in game correctly. I did play a bit of the online over the weekend with a friend and we had fun doing basic missions and working our way up a few levels. I'm still going to be focusing on the story for now but I'd be up for any big events like a heist if people want to plan for them on the weekends.

If you choose the wrong endings, you'll lose access to a bunch of stuff. It's incredibly obvious which is the best ending though. You can replay and choose another option , but you'll be stuck with the consequences of your original choice permanently unless you reload an earlier save.
