Great news, exactly my estimated date

Well, unless Activision Blizzard wasn't aware of ArenaNet's plans prior to this announcement, it could certainly mean some hard work ahead for them. While I'm not a member of the beta testing (yet), I can see that World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria is shaping up nicely. With several fansites (Wowhead, MMO-Champion etc.) receiving beta keys to hand out to people that didn't purchase the Annual Pass to gain access to beta testing, perhaps we are getting close to launch. So Mists of Pandaria will be launching around then. Good to know.
I usually tweak most games to ridiculous settings (I once got World of Warcraft running at above 210 FPS), so I don't think it's impossible to have Guild Wars 2 running with this card. I'll see if I can upgrade though.NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800, ATI X1800, Intel HD 3000, or better (256MB of video RAM and shader model 3.0 or better)
I feel like that's the prime time to release a MMO.Right before school starts.
RIP grades

It is better to have a space between MoP and GW2 anyway, as GW2 does not compete with Blizzard for subscription fees. The majority of "finish a game to a certain extent, then move on"-type players can buy Guild Wars 2 and play a LOT of it before MoP comes out (if it comes around the end of September, early october) anyway, and then they can chill in WoW for a few months.

Blizzard always has either a major content patch or an expansion lined up to compete with other big-name MMOs. You can bet this time will be the same even considering that GW2 does not have a subscription model.
Sounds guuud!
Now to decided between the Euro-gaf server (which usually dies quickly in most mmos :/) or the NA-gaf server :d.
Will prepurchase of any version of GW2 give you the 3 day head start, or is that reserved for the deluxe and collectors editions?
We still got one last BWE (with new Asura Sylvari content) to see how polished or broken it will be.I can't believe we made it to post 80+ without a "can't believe they'll release this buggy mess..." type of post.

Psh 3 days. I asked what their thoughts were on a 2 month headstart. I anxiously await their reply.
So that's 3 Beta weekends for Pre-Purchasing?
Kayossssss come out and plaayyyyy
Uhm, what? Do you want some monopoly over a game's economy like that? What incentive would that give to those that join the servers later on, exactly?
