let's see how this Beta will run on my latop, previous 2 beta's didn't go that well. There was a slight increase in performance between the first and second, though not as much as I hoped for. I'm not expecting the game to run on max, im expecting atleast a stable fps with everything on low considering I have a:

Alright, today will be my first chance to try the game out. I'm looking forward to it but I'm so far out of the loop. I haven't done nearly as much research as I probably should have but, whatever, I'm sure I'll get the gist of things.

The Great Name Poach dress rehearsal begins at 3pm EST. I just have a job interview to nail and I should be able to make it.
BWE2 was for me so no doubt, BWE3 is even better.
4 and a half hours, however the servers will probably come on earlier than that.

Can't wait. Barely awake after only an hour and a half of sleep, but going straight home from work and playing.
Damn, I misunderstood that. The other night I thought it was said in Mumble that it had been changed to Noon Eastern. Haha. Rescheduled my meeting and finished up early to get home in time, and now I've hours to go before it starts.
Doh.
EDIT: For what it's worth, folks... My account name is Mezzaerin.3571. Feel free to add me to your Friends Lists when you get in-game and we might hook up at some point during the weekend. I'll mostly be running PvE, Crafting, and doing a variety of other activities. Likely won't touch on WvW too much, though I might weaken and pop in Saturday or Sunday... given I can get into it at all.

I got cinebistro tix for it right when the beta starts. But at least it is awesome theater of comfy couch seats, food, drink, and no phones/talking allowed or anyone under 21.
But then sadly I got a raid scheduled in another game for when I get home...
Yea tomorrow is lock myself in doors to play nothing but GW2 then.

some tips for taking screenshots that might be useful:
- You can enable high-resolution screenshots by going to Control Options in your options menu, scrolling down to Screenshot: High Res, and assigning a key for it.
- If you want your character out of the frame for a landscape shot, try /sleep to make your character drop below the frame.
- Hide the UI with Ctrl+Shift+H
- The high res screenshots are in .jpg format and saved in C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Guild Wars 2\Screens (They are anywhere from 4-12 mb in size and come in 7680 x 4320 resolution)

Fuck! I though I was going to be able to leave work early but I doubt that will happen now. Also going out with fiancé and friends to a bar in the evening so I guess I won't get to play in the evening but I'll be on overnight, probably drunk and picking on kayos and his review skillz!
