I don't think it's too far-fetched to predict that GW2 will sell more than 3 million copies till 2013. The game will have a healthy player-base.

I highly doubt 3 million on first year, but at least GW1 sold over 6 million total units even though it was against WoW every day of it.

I think it will sell a bit less than half of that. And that's OK.
That count expansions or straight up vanilla game?

world-wide though?
Inky...they've already sold more than that.
Sure. At least in that timeframe i.e. till 2013.
I wasn't aware there were any numbers out. Link?
Gimme a sec to eat since I just got up and I'll get it.
Is there stress test tonight at 9pm eu time?

Counts expansions, but buying the trilogy doesn't count as 3 sales. That count expansions or straight up vanilla game?
Yeah, it will be in the mix along with Guild Wars, LOTOR, Conan, FF14, RIFT, TOR & TERA.
Yeah, just like Conan, Rift, TOR, Vanguard, Warhammer....
A lot of people have said this about a lot of MMOs. You'd better knock on wood.
I've heard these too many times over the years to take it seriously.
CEST (Central European Summer Time), yup
I believe it it O, then Go to the Mists, then look for the Asura Gate to World versus World. What button lets you enter WvWvW? Haven't tried that yet but I'm looking forward to it tonight![]()
How long does it last?
For me it's B.What button lets you enter WvWvW? Haven't tried that yet but I'm looking forward to it tonight![]()

Anyone have any tips on fixing the camera to resemble GW1? I played GW1 for about 6 years, mostly PvP got to rank 12 and recently purchased GW2, played for an hour during stress test a few days ago and something about the camera really bothered me. It dragged too much behind my character and it just didn't feel...right i guess.
So Gandara seems to be the place to be for EU?
I'm in the mood for some jumping challenges I think. Too bad my highest level character is trapped in some kind of limbo instance where I can't log in with it =/
I would suck a Charr's dick if the camera could be more like WoW :-( Right now I don't like how it rubber bands behind the character when moving or how terribly draggy it feels to just move it around. Then again, they never fixed it for GW1 so I doubt they'll do anything to it for GW2.
At least I feel better now knowing I'm not the only one who thinks there should be some more customization with the camera![]()
It did feel very slow, and even though GW1 camera wasn't the best, it surely was better scripted than this.
50 minutes, yo!Stress test in an hour, right?

Had that happen to me when I got disconnecting in WvWvW.... but then the queue filled up.
Quick question, maybe it has been answered before but I'm new to this thread. What's the popular server that everyone on GAF seems to be using? There's so many to choose from :O
most of us are on Gates of Madness currently, we switch to Stormbluff Isle at release
How about EUGAF?
Gandara
Cheers
I think GW2 will have a great start. There is a lot of buzz around it. The million dollar question is though, can GW2 keep people interested for months or even years on end? Like Wow did.
GW1 did... I don't think GW2 will have any problems with longevity. They'll release expansion packs etc and keep people interested for years

This has more to do with the community than the game. The game of WoW doesn't keep people interested so much as the people you play with does so. Honestly, at least 50% of my time in WoW could be described as mindless, boring busy work. It's always the community that keeps people attached to the game. So making friends in GW2 and having activities to do with them and keep logging in is important to having an active playerbase.
True, but especially in the first few years Wow struck the perfect balance between having fun things to do and a good community. Hope GW2 is the same as early Wow in that regard. But you can join dungeons through a queueing system right? That has me worried as it kills communities.
Is there a stress test for those in the US? I never got to play the beta just bought a week ago and would love to see it in action before final release!??
