seriously though we aren't allowed to own guns here. well you can in some situations but it's really hard to get one. the average person can't get one just because they want one. shit, you need a license to own an air gun or even a bb gun that looks realistic. for most people this is the only option:

this is the one i have which is a WE gen5 glock 17. it's just a bbgun that shoots those 6mm bbs and it's powered by gas. they could only sell it after the slide was painted blue just like the image above:

i've been going to the shooting range these last months and having a fairly good time with a glock

can take it apart blind now, also completely mocked a working model inside blender for unreal engine testing

if you are a gun owner, i cannot recommend enough that you learn to draft a practical model of your firearms, not only will the skills supplement your understanding of weapons, also how to draw and model w / freely available tools on the internet

tbh, i've been having such a good time doing this that i bought a surplus of bullets and a dedicated slot at my local range

it's getting to the point where i'm gonna look for my own acreage and get into rifles; shooting and modeling and better understanding the forces and actions involved

most of my portfolio is in the realm of scifi where rules are easily broken, now that i'm at the end of physics and what i want out of math there's plenty time for practical research and deployment of real systems

I had a AR15 that I customized a bit, and had a Ruger Mark IV 22 LR.

Sold both when I had kids. Sure I could of got a gun safe, but I really didn't like either of them. Never liked pistols or 22's and the pistol was free. The AR15 even though I customized it to make it mine I just didn't like shooting it. Sure it was great for hitting a target repeatedly, but it just wasn't fun to me.

If I would ever get back into guns it would probably be a AK. Shooting 7.62 is much more fun than 223. Also might pick up a Remington 870 because I always enjoyed shooting them.

Are you on Twitter? Know about the 3d printed gun community? Should check them out.

Deterrence Dispensed is doing some amazing iterations on polymer frames.

Even a fully non regulated 9mm PCC. The FGC-9. Developed in and by someone in a heavily regulated European country.

Buying a Glock 17 (gen3, thanks California) tomorrow. Finally in stock at a reasonable price reasonably nearby.

Note I said buying and not getting because I still have to wait 10 days to pick it up (thanks California)

I need to leave this state.

Taurus Judge. This weapon is complete shit unless you understand the exact ammo to use. There are only about 3 ammo types that I would recommend but those are absolutely devastating. It takes the weapon from below average to unparalleled versatility and power.

Of course, most everyone knows it shoots shotgun shells.

For the first two shots, I use buckshot from Federal from the Judge. It's essentially like getting hit with four .380 rounds every trigger pull and the spread is very manageable. No more than 5 inches at house defense ranges.

Penetration is excellent.

Then, to finish out the cylinder, I use Lehigh's specialized bullet for the firearm that takes advantage of the extra-long cylinder.

This is what it looks like on the left compared to a normal .45 on the right. As you can see on the far left, the expansion is insane.

And this is the same bullet above but against the ballistic human gel that the FBI uses.

I can also do a cylinder dump in about 1.4 seconds. So at close range, that means you're getting hit with 12 projectiles but only 5 trigger pulls. Mash potatoes internals.

I've been wanting to shoot the judge. Never shot it or seen one. I have a pistol grip on a 12 gauge that hurts like a mother but is ready to vaporize.

Yep whenever I take it to the range people are looking at me like wtf is that gun shooting shotgun shells. lol, some come over and talk shit in a polite way but then are always surprised that the gun has specialized ammo and has a tight pattern.

That12 gauge will put a hurting on everything. Just the sound of a shotgun in a house is the stuff of nightmares. Even mine sounds ridiculously scary.

You want the most dangerous cartridge available in the hopes of killing the person? If I'm packing some heat, I want something to protect myself but do enough damage to not send him to the morgue and have me facing 10 to life.

Yeah, anyone who breaks into my home is trying to die. I live in Texas so I have no worries about jail time. I'm not going to be stupid about it, but inside my home, I'm not playing that game where the homeowner shoots them 4 times and they keep coming. I'm turning them into an unsavable carcass of mash potatoes.

In that case.

Nope. You don't know how things work in Texas.

The intruder doesn't even need to be holding a weapon in Texas, you just need to believe that your life is in danger. That's it.

You can literally kill someone for attempting to take your property too in texas.

Yea, gotta learn your state's castle doctrine laws if you plan on defending yourself. Some places require you to try to run away. Some, you can blow them away for trying to break in if you're afraid for your life or they are threatening the life of someone else. Mine is closer to that.

I'm not aware of any state that allows deadly force but then punishes you if you end up killing them. I don't think that exists. As a matter of good practice, you should never point your gun at someone or any animal you do not intend to kill.

I have a Beretta 92fs Inox. I am looking at picking a shotgun and a rifle to round it all out. Might need to take out a mortgage to get ammo though....

Those mutilating bullets are some real insecure, limp-dick energy. Bet you got a big truck too? Scale of 1-10 how frightened of an American are you?

Looks like some people got

The purpose of rounds is to cause tissue damage to kill the organism. Those aren't 'mutilating rounds', they're rounds explicitly designed to kill as efficiently as possible. Rounds which do not expand like this merely cause acute suffering in whatever was shot.

Shooting anything with ammunition that doesn't expand/deform is cruel in its ineffectiveness.

The people who know the least speak the loudest.

I live in remote rain forest so I can say I didn't lose all my guns in boating accident and here is one I like most (I am so proud of!) and decorated with several features - I am ready, Putin!
(air gun, very quiet, semi auto, good enough for unprotected targets)

Take it into the club. Find your enemy( or ex wife). and shoot 6 into their dick(or vagina).
This gun will kill....absolutely nobody.
