It's probably like the original reveal of Amazing Exia in season 1 where it starts off looking stock. The next time it shows up, it'll be upgraded or something like that.

Episode 16

The episode started off so well. The Tryon-3 was everything I would expect from a Super Robot in Build Fighters. The audience reactions were great. The attacks were great. The teasers showing the other matches were fun too. Ninja Team getting scrubbed. The SD team using traps and stuff. I was enjoying it all! Then Shia showed up with her arrogant prancing magic Gundam, and it was still fine. Could be a good fight. Couldn't wait to see the joke character get jobbed. I wonder what he's using to fig--- WTF IS THAT GARBAGE. Then I went blind. RIP. :(

tl;dr - AGE sucks, and everything related to AGE sucks. No one even wanted to draw that monster, so they had to use cheapass CG for it. Awful. Gross. It looked fucking terrible even when it was exploding in 2D at the end. x_X


Can't wait for next week's SD fight though. Did I mention I LOVE SD fights? Because I LOVE SD fights!! :D
 
I'm really loving Shia's suit. It's my fave color, it dances and Plavsky and shit, and it's the weirdest butterfly-themed Gundam so far. Gotta have it.
I wasn't too impressed with the episode, even with the ZZZ. I love the suit, just not the presentation so far.
 
Didn't know that was an AGE suit, shit was atrocious :lol G-Portent so OP though. Seems like it functions similarly to the Transient

An jobber use robot from AGE so fucking fitting, they not even bother drawing it too.. based Shia absorb the budget instead.

Btw Sakai and TRYON is so awesome.
 
Sad to see Spiegel be in nothing but cannon fodder teams, even losing to the cannon fodder named team, even if I do like the Matsunaga team. At least it was in there twice I guess. Still the 00 wank is awful, stop it japan.

Episode 16

Great episode. Really great intro and the 5 seconds of Spiegel were nice to see.

AGE shit showed up and tried its hardest to fuck it all up but thankfully it was over quick. And they CG'd the damn thing again. If we are going to get some more AGE stuff I hope they keep it limited to the few good suits in the show.

Shia's Portent was awesome to watch in action but that suit is way OP'ed.

Neo Zeong sighting as well.

I didn't think the Spiegel would show up again after that fodder team from the qualifiers, so I was thinking before he appeared again that he would have been perfect for that Ninja themed team. Also I like the themed teams, always fun to watch.

Better than having a million exias. I'll take more age suits if it means less 00 and seed/destiny stuff.
 
Im the only one in the world who liked Gundam AGE but even I can say that was a waist of a Gundam to use in the episode with CG no less which i dispise in Anime...Everything else was great with the episode! And poor Gundam Spiegel :(
 
Two other things I just noticed: Tatami mats seem to be effective against beams and the Speigel was using the dagger from the AGE-1 Spallow.
 
Okay, that's bullshit. Try Fighters can't beat that shit.

it's gonna be like in RPGs when you face a character and they are godlike with awesome moves and 300k HP and then when they join your team they suck, lol.

Or Kei Karima was so bad, he had 1 HP.

Edit: the jobbers losign to the SDs looks like they had a custom unit that had Gundam Leopard's Gatling arms, lol.
 
Episode 16

The beggining of the episode was so good with the Tryon 3.

The triplets are prettyy similar to the Argentinian brothers from Season 1 so I always expected them to fully fight with tactics.
 
If Sei is watching now, surely he has seen the Build Burning Gundam as well. He hid that away at the club for a reason, and now this seemingly random kid is piloting it and who didn't know the first thing about Gunpla.

It just seems odd to me.

I'm of the mindset that he's seen, noticed that the kid is in a Team with China's brother and Old Man Ral, and gone on with his life.

I have little doubt he has an upgrade to Build Strike with and even better particle system. Build Freedom Supernova or something.

That reminds me, something I noticed that shows up in this picture as well - newer high grade gunpla have an HG logo in the GP base that has "High Grade" or something written under it, while older gunpla tend to have an HG logo with no text under it. If you look at the G-Portent and Transient GP bases, they have something written under the HG, but Gundam The End's HG logo is just "HG". I don't know if there's any significance to it, but it's odd.
 
The fang arms are Regnant-like but dunno what the rest is.

Whoever put AGE in was probably the same guy that put G-Saviour in so we would never forget their existence.

The text under the HG is usually the name of the series the kit comes from. Transient and Portent probably says "Gundam 00" and I'm going to guess since The End pulls from various series they don't include it.
 
Ah, love it that something from AGE finally shows up, simply to fail horribly.
Definitely self-aware commentary on how AGE was terrible, especially in following up 00.
 
Yuuma is a super Z fan, I bet the most creative thing he can do is combine Z and Hiyaku Shiki

also what did the other two teammates K dude do? Were they inside the suit too?
 
Good episode. I don't have some allergic reaction to AGE suits showing up, but lol @ them picking the worst, ugliest design of that whole series to be the first one out.
