I predict this.
It's not unusual. The first series was the same way. They use a mix of existing kits and brand new custom kits. If the show can help sell more of a legacy kit, that's still money for Bandai. Doesn't really mean a character will return later with another kit.
They pushed the existing HGUC Gerbera Tetra in the first season with Kirara for example.

I guess they might have a lot of unsold Destiny kits sitting in the warehouse so they can finally clear that stock

I know it's a joke, but G-Reco mechs aren't going to be showing up in BF Try. They broadcast on different networks in Japan, and that causes certain copyright issues due to timed exclusivity clauses. Same issue they had with 00 S2 in the first season of BF (which seems to have lapsed with BFT), and with the 00 movie and AGE (which is still off the table afaik).

That was in the new issue of Dengeki Hobby that I picked up today.
Bandai is coming out with an official kit of the Vrabe next February, and two seperate magazine special part sets will be coming too. I'm excited for this one.

That's no longer true... I guess they renegotiated their deal with MBS but Sunrise has confirmed that G-Reco mechs has permission to show up in GBFT but they didn't want to do it because... It's hard or something.

Really fun episode, and it seems like they had more of an animation budget for this one too. Gyanko really is the best girl

Gundam Build Fighters Episode 8:
Jesus tap dancing Christ but do they need to ratchet down the shipteasing a few notches as it was downright exhausting here. That being said, once they were done with Gyanko typical gimmick, Sekai actually had a nice real moment there in defending her honor. The overall problem is he does this because that is the nature of his character and not because of any actual romantic interest. Anyway, the fights this time around were pretty perfunctory,

as this episode was really about establishing the closest thing this series has offered up to a true rival in Team G-Master. I do admit this was effective for the most part though dear god do not do another one-on-one battle. Also, I do admit Gynako jobbing was the height of hilarity.

Gyanko's faces were really fantastic this week. Really nice expressions and funny cut-ins during the battles. The animation continues to be rather spotty. While TANK vs DRAGON was pretty sweet with all the rain, beam effects, and missiles, the main matches later on felt pretty budget. I -love- the G-Bomber gimmick though. The way they're foreshadowing Suga and his abilities, I'm really looking forward to his fight with Sekai next week. I hope they go full crazy with it.
In terms of writing, the series continues to be a few steps below the original. Not only is it more predictable, but the dramatic beats feel so telegraphed and by-the-numbers it's hard to feel anything sincere about the direction the story is going in. At least the music continues to be SUPER AWESOME. Lol.

I always laugh at the over dramatization of the battles, like the pilot screaming in pain when the mobile suit is attacked. it's not like they're actually inside the suit or in any danger whatsoever. lol
same with Gyanko closeup when she lost and Sekai shouting her name, you'd think Gyanko is really dead by that scene, lol.
but that's part of the charm of the series I guess. I've grown to really like those super dramatic moments in the series.

So I was right Build Burning was back good as new without a word about repairs... But then again what is the damage level set to? Anyone remember what damage level B is? Maybe they have damage turned off in the tournament? I'm spending too much time thinking about it... In first season the Build Strike being damaged and upgraded played a much larger part (And we also got the Build Gundam Mk-II out of the downtime).

I haven't watched the episode but knowing that they ignored the damage is so disappointing.
I am disappointed that they didn't address Burning's damage at all. Oh well, a solid episode despite that. I kind of hope that after they get past this regionals stuff that the story will expand like it's hinting at. This small school level drama stuff is not very interesting, or at least the writing is not up to snuff to make it compelling.
