anyone who thought gryoscope technology was invented by nintendo for revolutoin is a jackass.. even nintendo themselves said they are only using it in different ways and bettering it.

the crappy gyro technology has been around for years in computers and in military applications good working ones have been around for ages.

its not new tech it will just be done right like the wavebird.

I'm glad I'm hear for this event before anyone REALLY believes these 2 technologies are the same. This floated to TXB the day of the announcement which I was genuinely intrigued and watched the video demonstration. Everyone should watch the video. The MS "wand" requires 2 video cameras to triangulate 3D position and once you see it in practice it seems to be nice little gadget for interacting electronic devices while not practical for these tasks it is interesting nonetheless.

The only thing similiar between them is the pointing interface (which is optional in the Rev controller) and the inclusion of gyro which belongs to neither MS nor Nintendo. You could argue that this device could of been a stepping stone in Nintendo's own works to develop the Rev controller but the fact that one requires video cameras and the other does not leads me to believe their completely different technologies altogether.

THIS IS NOT THE SAME THING< THIS USES TWO CAMERAS A RADIO LINK AND IS PROBABLY MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE.
