um, if you search the forum for "stranger" and enter the thread titled (paraphrased) "nearly 20 minutes of stranger footage" someone near the end of the thread links to a nifty player called the VLC media player. that player handles these clips just fine

Thanks, I found the codec to run them just fine. I found a cool little utility that scans the file and tells you what codecs you need to play them, and if they are installed or not.

As for the 'no new vehicles' crap, we've already seen four new ones in the E3 2003 video, and Bungie has made reference to four others in the updates; not to mention the new human turret. Chill. Out.

We can't drive dropship/transport vehicles, man. Only new vehicles we know of that we can drive are... The Rocket Warthog, Gauss Warthog, the Wraith... And the Banshee, if you don't take the PC/Mac ports into consideration.

Also, a vehicle called the "Razorback" was apparently mentioned through ilovebees.com...

*sigh*... The variety of HALO 2's selection of vehicles is the only thing I'm worried about. It's really the only reason why I would've liked to see the ATV stick in, because the human side is only getting Warthog variants(based on what we know).

It is the Covenant Beam Rifle... similar to the Sniper Rifle but does not require reloading. Overheating is a concern though.

Works fine aslong as you copy and paste the link. Im presuming thats from Edge Mag (considering im reading it right now, unless its in another mag aswell) and I was surprised they mixed it up with the flamethrower of all things.

Judging by this image, the flamethrower, cut from Halo towards the end of development, could make it into the sequel. However it has not been present during the game's beta.

I had guessed it was the brute shot since it just looks alot bigger than it did in the concept pictures, either that or the brutes have got bigger ;p

Okay, the Brute Shot pic is there now - for some weird reason it wasn't there, just your text. (Thus my odd reply - though that was what you were talking about, Op-Ivy.)

The Brutes are described as being much larger than the Elites in the books, so it makes sense that they would be huge - but that gun is a monster. Can't wait to see the mele attack.
