Is this going to be worth it for we poor folks stuck without broadband and, therein, Live? Will I be able to take the disc to LAN parties and have others guys load the maps on their XBoxes, or does Bungie plan on somehow limiting this this to be installed on one box (although I'm not sure how they'd handle that). Thanks.

Unless they include a specific serial code you will need to type it, you should be able to use it on unlimited xboxes, kinda like the Limited Edition jade empire content.

It's not surprising nor does it "blow." The two freely available maps are more than ten times larger than the capacity of an XBox memory card. It's not like Bungie is a bunch of jerks that are locking the files down. The files are simply a few hundred megabytes and not readily transportable. The only people who should be paying are people who are super Halo fanatics who have gottne their money's worth already and feel it worthwhile to toss another $20 in as thanks. It doesn't matter that you can't transfer the maps between XBoxes, because at the end of summer, all the maps will be made freely available, and you can transport an XBox Live account around multiple XBoxes and distribute the maps that way. I don't see the problem here. Sounds like you're all upset over nothing.
