What I love best is when you're playing a slow-paced game, sitting pretty at 10 kills with 2 deaths, and you get called out by the guy with 19 kills and 25 deaths for not contributing enough.zam said:

We're down 9-10, one of the dude's (it's a 2v2 game) spawns up there. We here the other guy kill himself, and they stay up there until time runs out, nimbly doging our grenades.

I haven't played Halo 3 online in about 6 days...ZOMG. Hopefully Bungie shows us some screens of the DLC maps soon to get me interested again. It's not that I'm NOT interested or anything it's just...So many great shooters, so little time. I'll definitely be playing Halo 3 over Thanksgiving break, I just hope Bungie gives us some good news soon as well to put some enthusiasm back in me.
Are there any gaffers in Macomb, IL area? We're looking for a fourth player to be in a Halo 3 tournament this Saturday.
We're not really expecting to win because the skill level gap within the team is pretty big, but should be fun nonetheless. Plus, you get free lunch.

It's working fine now. I've been playing with a group from another forum for a couple of hours a night and it's running great.
I'll say this, the stuff in single player for CoD4? The awesome stuff? Feeling like you're in an actual warzone? It translates into the multiplayer well. It really feels like CoD through and through. It's always something I felt Halo 3 wasn't able to reproduce. Epic single player with a multiplayer focusing on small battles on small maps and whatnot, it simply did not match. That said, I agree with the guy who wants more info on the new DLC for H3. I haven't played it in a while and am slowly losing any desire to go back at the moment.

Did you guys see the new heatmaps tab on B.net? Any idea what's going on with that? You can insert your gamertag after the player= part to see what yours look like. Not sure if it's fully functioning yet.

If someone destroy's you and you want to see maybe where they normaly kill people from on that map you can do that. It's also just cool stats to see how the map is used by everyone.

Im pretty much done with Halo 3 save social games of BTB, but I enjoy CTF and Territories, and figure I may as well get my rank up playing the modes I enjoy most. Right now Im a rank 17 and need three more people in the same rank range to play with. Im not great, but I have a positive K/D ratio and alot more wins than losses. I can hold my own. Leave your gamertag if you're interested and Ill give you a shout when I get back from work later tonight.

I've got a 1.11 in ranked, but my highest level is only a 21. Seems like getting higher levels would naturally take care of your K/D ratio. But, I've noticed several people on my friends list who are level 30+ with sub 1.00 K/D ratios.
I'm sure that if I really put some effort into it I could get my team slayer level to 30+. But, I know my K/D ratio would probably suffer.

I care more about K/D, simply because Im around level 20 (range from 17 to 21) in every ranked play list, so the fact that my top rank is 21 doesnt really give a good indication of my overall skill.
Haven't had much worth postin' lately, but I got a guy pretty good on Construct a few days ago. :lol

I never really cared or payed attention to stats. I'd look at them and say that's nice. What's the point really? I just play to have fun, stats be damned. In fact I would would play team slayer late at night when I'm tired and consequently won't play my best so my stats suffer, which ties into my preference for level. Also I don't really like playing social games as it's usually filled with lower tier players beating up on them is not my idea of fun, I'd rather play close competitive games.
I have fun when I play a close game and feel I've contributed to the team. Stats are a vague indicator of your contribution: if your K/D is way below 1.0, you might not be helping your team much. So, I care (a little bit) about keeping my K/D above 1.0.Lancelet Pink said:
