High chance the boxes have "not for resale" slapped over them like the pgr3 and gears packin deals long ago, doubt you could exchange games that basicly sell at half retail price now for some of the latest games.onemic said:

As I said before when I was going back home for christmas I would play halo on a non student-flat run internet connection with open nat to compare if the lag in halo was as bad, seems to me that most of my matches are still in the yellow ping not mainly because of my connection but because the game pairs me up with most american gamers putting me at a stressfull disadvantage :/
I can shoot someone first while they are sideways to me but they will still win a beat down dispite me doing more damage because of the delay to the host, unless I shoot a clear second ahead of someone I will always loose.
I seriously hate it and get rather stressed, I think gears lag is better then this.

i wonder if something with the recent update had anything to do with it because i would kinda be surprised if xbox live is being hammered anymore right now that like the night of the halo 3 release but it is possible that a bunch of people just got 360s for christmas i guess

I tried team hardcore properly for the first time today, it's pretty good!
I like that there's no enemy locations on the radar, it makes things more exciting since you have to be much more aware of your surroundings.
TS doesn't seem to appear that often in it though, but at least CTF seems to come up a lot, which happens to be my fave gametype

I'm really starting to get sucked into MP, despite my saying I was going to hold off until the first update to see if mêlée is addressed. I couldn't sleep last night, so I was up late romping around in the DLC playlist. Had one of those moments that just begged for meticulous documentation.
Situation: Enemy Warthog has been going on a rampage on Rat Race. I'm making a bee-line for the rockets, but it comes around again before I can get to them. A team mate is following from behind.
What follows is a perfect two-point Warthog takedown.
Step one: partner throws frag grenade in Warthog path.
Step 2: I attach plasma grenade to Warthog hood as is passes by.
Frag grenade goes off:
Unfortunately, my buddy is without shields and the 'hog flips into him. He goes down in a blaze of glory.
The other two get a very good view, while the Warthog cruises along the wall for a moment.

My gamertag is onem1c in case anyone wants to play with me. I just got a 360 4 days ago and halo 3, 2 days ago, so I'm still learning the game, but so far I think I've been doing pretty damn good, as I'm usually in 1st or second in slayer and team slayer matches.(Currently that's the only two game modes I've played)

That's the only difference between hardcore modes and something like team slayer?
And when are they going to make the heroic map pack free? Didn't bungie say they were going to do that after about a month after its release or so? I would buy it of marketplace but this whole marketplace points thing has me so damn confused.....Why the hell don't they just state the real price rather than this points bs?

i have actually run into the DLC maps in regular stuff like social slayer a number of times so i would think it would pick up now that some of the people who wanted to play the maps they just bought are moving back from the heroic playlist into regular stuff
Are the spawns ever gonna be worked out in this game? Playing Team Hardcore and it sits me down in front of two guys twice, and then I spawn in a grenade explosion and a guy comes around the corner and one shots me. Thanks Bungie! :lol
Also get Land Grab out of Team Hardcore, or any list for that matter, does anyone actually enjoy that mode? Both teams get 2 nodes then it's a fight for the last one, every single game. Why not just put one flag in the middle and fight to cap it, same difference.

Actually played a land grab game on THE PIT, and what you described happened the first 2 rounds, (with us losing 3 to 2 each round) so basically we were done for. Only this time the last round we finished 4 to 1 and ended up winning. :lolRamirez said:
Also totally agree with the spawns, I spawn in front of two people duking it out throwing grenades more often than I want. One blast as soon as I can move and im running for my life, yet when i turn the corner to recover another person is always there to head shot.

How peculiar - Just played a game of VIP, which for once I didn't detest. I'm checking out max skills at the start to see how well matched I think the teams are, when I spot this recruit - Oddly though his max skill is 41, very odd I think, so we play and my team wins (hoorah) and I check the game on Bungie.net - He has -139 xp - due to his 657 -exp penalties O_O - 657 games where he didn't finish, now either he has the worst connection known to man and it kicks him out of 40% of his games, or something else is up and he is a quitting douche bag.
Ironically enough the only acheivement he is lacking is the Spartan Officer one, not likely to get that anytime soon on -139xp :lol

One time in Halo 2 we were griefed for over two hours when they took the bomb up to the roof of a skyscraper in Headlong - putting the game on infinite sudden death. Finally, at about two and a half hours, the Banshee respawned because they forgot about it and I grabbed it, flew up there, kicked everybody's ass and saved the day. It was one of the most frustrating but then satisfying Halo experiences EVER. We won.JB1981 said:

Great, seems Live is broken again, fun, game before was apparently just me and now I've just quit a game manually (not live auto quitting me) for the first time ever, which is something I never wanted to do as I hate quitters.
Pre-Match: 4v8, oh now its 2v8, oh good now the other guy quit, fantastic, 1v8 on foundry, even I couldn't stomach that.

The Swords mode should make Steppin Razor easier, but I always get caught into one of those lunge-fights, where the 2 duelists keep crossing swords. When it finally ends, I'm always the one to bite the dust. If there's a good strategy to get out of these annoying duels, I haven't heard it yet.

I got my triple and sword triple in the Infection playlist at Halloween, I detest Lone Wolves, i find it so boring to not have at least one person to talk to or interact with that I know, so I won't be getting the rest unless some more playlists that allow them appear.
