This makes me really sad. The Chief has a legacy. He deserves to be the most important. We all have the most attachment to him. I don't think it'll be possible for me to like a new character as much as him in the span of only one game, especially when we've known Chief's backstory basically since his early childhood.

Following and building off that kind of massive backdrop for a character isn't just something you can just replicate easily.

that would balance the feature itself, but the unfortunate problem of Sprint is more inherent in the way it changes map design and combat ranges.

I still think Halo's vehicles (even outside of BTB) and a focus on long rifles are enough to stretch out map size as well. At least outside of strictly enclosed arenas anyway.

Sprint should come at a cost to shields, draining them all the way. That way, if you run carelessly, you're guaranteeing death from less damage. If you're already lacking shields, no sprint, as the fiction could simply state Spartan power systems are being diverted from shielding to powering a limited sprint. Maybe let overcharged shield allow as much as double sprint.

I agree with this. They should have some sort of downside to sprinting. It should be a last resort, or at least a way to get back into the action a little quicker.

Flinch= getting your scope knocked around while being shot, but still being able to aim down sights/scope

If anything this thread serves as a 'what if' scenario for 343 to look at. But even then, you have to take into account that the 'GAF Reaction™' does not represent the views of all Halo fans.

Personally I'm glad the new additions seem to be only cosmetic.

The MCC is a remaster of how Halo used to be (1, 2 and 3). The Halo almost everyone fell in love with. Reach implemented features that weren't appreciated by the community, this was made loud and clear. And yet they still went on an expanded on those features for Halo 4. And now it's looking that 343i is expanding even further on that in Halo 5 Guardians.

People are glad that we get to play an upgraded version of Halo. People can at the same be angry at the course that 343i seemingly is taking with the franchise.

Same thing as every other leak thread. Incomplete information, premature conclusions and a lot of rage. We got an amir0x post as a bonus. Overall, was great entertainment.

Now the only thing left is for people to complain about a sprint mechanic that has been around for a while already and a questionable cosmetic change that doesn't really affect gameplay
