Does anyone know what the go is if I had a physical copy of TMCC and played online (like once) and played the early access, do I still need the physical copy to access the beta?
I only ask because I returned my copy as it was a broken POS at the time so I'm wondering if I need to go out and buy the game again?

You need the game yes, because you download the beta through Halo MCC. I'm going to assume you need the disc in to play it also, but I haven't tried that.

I already have the beta file from the early access but it was the 2nd part I was curious about, whether the beta needs to be accessed through the game itself.

Did your beta do the update? People who had the preview had to update the beta. I'll see if it works without the disc anyway in a minute.
EDIT: I just tried without the disc and you can load up the beta, at least to the menu, but I'm that's not saying it'll let you play as Gringo below me also said. I can't see them letting people without the game play when that was part of the purchase of the game.

You don't, but you need either the disc in the drive or the digital copy to play. You should be able to boot it up through the pin.

You'll need the disc in the tray, but you don't need to be playing the MCC

Open up the H5 app and see if it prompts you to update. Definitely no need to delete and do a fresh install unless something is fucked up on your end.

343 is releasing this beta at the perfect time for me. I have a few days off with not much to do so I can really sink my teeth into this one. After watching The Sprint I'm even more pumped to be a part of this even if my feedback is a speck of dust in a shit cloud. I don't know what that means, I think I've been watching too much Trailer Park Boys.
You should be able to pin it and launch it from the dashboard if you either have a digital copy or the MCC disc in the Xbox. We'll know for sure later though.

Not really. It's completely transparent all the way through. The suspense they try to build is pointless because it's obvious what will happen.
Still, it's not the worst thing I've ever seen. Decent enough way to kill a couple hours.

Don't be surprised, I didn't play my first match during the early access beta till the last 30 minutes of the day it was supposed to launch. When Microsoft says something will be available day X always add an extra day if you don't live in the USA....
It was meh, low budget CGI, the story is as deep as a fresh puddle of water on a brand new road. It was okay to watch but don't expect anything good out of it.
I thought so. A little slow to get started, but by the end we had the Spartan Blue Team evacing the recruits, we had a much bigger Covenant fight, we had Colussus from the X Men films playing Master Chief in that huge armour, we had that awesome hunter fight (too much slow mo aside), Warthogs, Pelicans etc. Apparently the budget for Nightfall was bigger. Where the hell did it all go? Did they squander the money hiring Ridley Scott's production team or something?
This mini series was smaller and inferior in every way to FUD. I think those who enjoyed FUD were hyped as hell once the credits rolled because it fit right into Halo 4, we had a present day Lasky with the shrapnel from Chief saving his life, to Cortana breaking Chief out of cryo sleep. Here we had Locke, who we still don't care about, wandering around a market. Whoop de doo. It makes me worry for the campaign side of things, if we're meant to give a stuff about this guy come the first mission or something.
On topic and bring on Breakout mode, can't wait to see how single life rounds fit into Halo.
Why do I have to wait for it to be 29th in USA (that too 9AM west coast time) when my game (MCC) and account are both British ? I don't have to wait for USA when it comes to launch of games (unless it isnt a simultaneous launch and are intentionally laubched at a later date in UK)

At the very least they could put up messaging that is accurate to the region we're in.

They should have made him do something spartan like, punch a boulder or something.
Nightfall was worse then FuD for sure, a real shame, all it needed to do was squeeze these 5 episodes of story into 3 and then have some battle in the last two episodes, what we got was too dragged out over 5 weeks and had a boring I-Knew-That-Was-Going-To-Happen ending.
