What's the kill time with the BR? I swear I've been 3 shotted, 4 shotted, maybe even 5.

I think there are quite a few damage bugs kickin' around at the moment.

This game's making me smile, though.

Not really feeling Breakout. The games I've played just had both teams camping their own sides waiting until someone inevitably got bored and charged. And if there was ever a mode that needed BR starts, it's Breakout.

It's a 4-shot kill. However, it is possible to not hit with all three bullets of the burst, making it take longer to kill if you don't hit directly in the skull.
 
Another game where I quit. I can't be assed to play games anymore where it's impossible to kill, let alone win.

Here's some feedback Stinkles. Matching a premade who can abuse the thruster/sprint mechanic to never die (consistently switching, covering, focus fire) to solo players makes me want to smash my controller. Teamwork is fine, versus other teams. It downright needs to go, solo versus solo, team versus team. This halo is already team reliant enough as it is.

So you're upset that players are learning to use the defensive moveset? Keep playing, you'll get the rhythm soon. Stick together and take cover when you are in trouble - let your teammates clean up the kill. Don't be upset about K/D. Surviving is the name of the game in Halo. Sounds like you just need to stop going solo-dolo ans expecting to win. Ever.

You are the problem. Everyone here whines about quitters and you admit to doing so multiple times because you can't hang? Weak ;)
 
Loving the game, doing pretty well, have a KDA of 6.5 so far. I like the map remixes, BR and AR starts both felt good, I think I like AR starts more though. I really don't like the quicker TTK in Breakout, but love the mode... I don't understand why in a 1 life game mode they would make you easier to kill.

edit: Ranking system is terrible, I went 22 and 5, won the match but lost rep?? Also due to how easy it is to lose ranking vs hard to gain, I have better stats than dudes in Onyx but I'm Silver, it should really be re-done.
 
I wish they made you press something to confirm you're moving onto your next game and if you don't you get booted back to the main menu

Headshots only matter when there are no shields.

Unless they changed it, but it doesn't seem like they did.
 
On one hand, it was funny seeing some little kids enjoying themselves playing Breakout role playing as like Spartans or whatever...but on the flip side they lost every round horribly.
 
An actual visual skill ranking means less people quit, and you have a more accurate visual idea of how good your opponents are.
Not like 1-50 was amazingly accurate. It was very top-heavy with everybody and their mom getting to 50. Caused there to be a big gap in skill even at the top rank.
 
The ranking system is one of the best things about this beta. Been a long time since I've had this many close games. Love how you can drop and rise easily. Always something to strive for, where as in the past numerical systems, you eventually got to a point you weren't going to progress past.
 
I know I'm getting way ahead of myself but I will say it anyway.

This is the best multiplayer Halo at its core. The balance, the traversal, the sounds, the competitive nature and the maps are pretty damn good. Going back and forth from this to Halo 2 and 3 really shows how refined this game is. I am very impressed. We haven't seen all the weapons or any vehicles yet but I am very confident of this games quality.
 
Have about 10 hours in and for the most part enjoying it. Too bad I am terrible at this game. I feel bad for the people teamed up with me.

I think the kill cam needs to go or at least allow us to disable it. All I ever see is my opponent miss most shots but still get a perfect.
grenade count needs to be lowered to one at spawn if they are going to be at this power.

Easy, because the idea is that with a shorter ttk you still have a reasonable shot at winning while outnumbered. Breakout would be even worse with a normal ttk.
