Not really a comparable situation, IMO. The nuclear bombings happened in a state of total war, against an "other." The Spartan program was inflicted on their own citizens, and it's resulted in a group of people too powerful and influential to easily control, and too dangerous to quietly eliminate. Or maybe they do try and do away with them quietly, which is what prompts Blue Team to go AWOL, with Osiris as the backup plan.

I'm a little confused, ONI implicated Ben in all of it, cleared Chief's name...but, didn't ONI themselves send Ben to investigate what happened to the Chief in the first place? Can someone just post like a two paragraph summary of everything lol. I got a little lost around the 10th episode :-/

They've been after Halsey..Im still curious who that "shadow man" was interrogating her after the ONI officials did in H4's opening cutscene..Seems its a lot easier to manipulate and push scare tactics on regular people/upper brass,
I mean shit they grabbed an ODST's dignity and had him manipulate and lie for them.
I have a feeling Buck will play a big part with helping Fire team osiris become #TeamChief, especially since he knows ONI is full of shit and secrets..Idk Im ready to play some Halo 5 right now!

During the job Ben found out some inconsistencies and eventually realized ONI was setting Chief up and using him to forge a false story so he went on to do his own investigation, when ONI found out he was doing that they decided to fuck him up and do a setup to frame him instead.

I get that but I mean, ONI cleared the Chief's name after everything...so now what? Everything's back to normal lol?

I'm gonna have to listen to these at some point.

Seems kinda odd to clear the Chief's name before the game is even out. Interesting to see where they'll be going with that.

I've been reading through those Game Informer articles again and Team Osiris is not ONI. It's an UNSC team.

Locke is an ex-agent of the Office of Naval Intelligence, but he has recently started working for the United Nations Space Command as one of their newly minted Spartans.

No, initially Ben was tasked with a fluff piece on a hero, and uncontrollable events caused the plan to change.

Some of what you guys are saying is confusing me DX.

Was FERO part of ONI's plan?
That lead that Petra gave to Ben, was that Oni's bait for her?

Also people are still cheering Michael Sullivan, I don't get it. He's the one that lead to Ben's
demise?

For season 2, keep the format as it is :). It's going to be hard to fill the shoes of Keegan-Michael Key as the narrator.

Honestly, the main problem with Ben was he got too emotional during the last couple episodes. What he should have done was release the files he collected to the public in the same method he did initially which got him into that mess. He should have known that that method would have worked given how well it worked the last time and given that he wouldn't have to go Live on Public TV to be easily found and captured by ONI.

Ben was way too sloppy. The idea that ONI didn't know exactly where he was and what he was doing the entire time was a bit unbelievable to me. They have AI and crazy technology.

'In the Bag' may be one of the worst trainwreck's I've ever witnessed, poor Ben.

Only 6 minutes left, but it's really hard going. :(

The thing is. The real files still exist.

The evidence is still put there to destroy oni.
However it seems like the files weren't sent to petra but she knows ray sent back files to someone.

Season 2 info incoming at e3. That was wild putting fero as an idea to pin it all on ben. Damn oni is good.

Lets go!!!! e3!!!!!
