Not really related to Halo 5...

But why is the ark in Halo Wars 2? Last I remember it was destroyed at the end of Halo 3. I know there was talk of a greater ark in one of the books... but that's not what we're seeing.

What am I missing?

Wait for some reason I remember both of you playing Halo well before that... what the hell


either way.. yes, both of you joined Reach just as 343 added armor lock back into everything to show off the changes they made to it in the TU after they took over.

The Ark was Really Damn Big. The ring at the center got blown up, and a chunk of the Ark proper was damaged, but the structure as a whole survived.

The partially-rebuilt Installation 04 was destroyed, which severely damaged a chunk of the Ark. However, the whole of the structure was fine. About as fine as a massive structure like that could be after having a gigantic ringworld explode on top of it, of course.

Oh, and the Greater Ark was destroyed a long, long, long time ago in the Halo canon. The one seen in the game is the Lesser Ark, Installation 00.

I've been playing Halo since 2003 (getting hyped for H2 off that CE disc extra features) but I didn't get a 360 until my brother got me one for Christmas. Good long 6 years of being a Halo fan without actually playing through the games myself. Wrote all the Wikipedia articles for them in the meantime.

The thing I hated most about sub-HD games last gen (that's present in H5) is the damn "shimmeryness" and silvery jaggedy lines you see where different assets meet up.

I can't wait to play with his damn game on Scorpio in 1080p

Think they'll tinker with it at all for Scorpio or will it just run better in the new hardware? I have no idea how those things work.

I had h1 on PC and Xbox along with H2 but I didn't have internet for a while/the money to get a 360 until about then but I did play a fair bit of 3 and ODST with others though.

i'm glad the new map looks different, but it's too busy for me... I think they went a little overboard.

can't wait to play on it though, Haven was fantastic.

Good job to the team we just ran into in Husky Raid that blocked spawns in Husky Raid.

Even worse when you realize one of them works for 343.

I was mainly upset that you'd pull that while playing with someone from 343. I think a few of us passed it along day one, too.

EDIT: Queue Akai to call me out for doing the armory glitch last year.

Yeah, let's extend a draw for 3 more minutes instead. That's fun too I guess.

Also, why does doing it with a 343 employee in the party (*literally* showing 343 the glitch firsthand and saying - literally my words - "look at this shit you guys let into matchmaking") make it worse?

I created a thread about this very subject a little while back and was pleased that most people shared my opinion that it isn't my responsibility to ensure that the opponent enjoys themselves.
