Halo: MCC Multiplayer "1th" patch "fix" live!

I am just wondering what the supposed consolation compensation will be.

If it is anything in game it will be a bit insulting as it will be content they were going to just give to us anyway. I don't see any way that they would be able to give us anything free that was originally supposed to be monetized unless it is ODST/reach/wars/firefight, but if those were in the pipeline in any way shape or form, I am sure that they would have talked about it in some way before now.

Based on what we've seen from developers this generation, I wouldn't expect any compensation of any kind beyond maybe XP boosts or something like that. Maybe MS themselves will offer something.

The only reason I bring it up is because I have seen several posts in other places where people were posting screen shots of when they were told by support that there would be some sort of compensation incoming.

I wouldn't know, I've seen people say it's worse for them now. I've had pretty limited experience with the patch, but I only managed to get into one game so far in about 10 attempts, and it was 4v6. For me it's pretty much the same as it always was... but I was luckier on some days than others so it's hard to say. I haven't had much luck lately though :(

I see. Yea Microsoft themselves have offered compensation for fuckups in the past. Free games n' such. I'm just saying I wouldn't expect much of anything directly from 343i.

At this point the only way MS can save grace with this fiasco is to offer everyone who bought this game a free title of choice. No bullshit cheapo title I'm talking a 60 dollar new release. It's only fair at this point.
 
So it is even more broken then it was before? How the hell could they even fuck that up even more? I feel sorry for everyone spending money on something like this. I have my fare share with a lot of these things before but this is just bad. Hopefully those who get refund get GTA V instead or something else that works.

From my experience, I believe in all of them. Except maybe that its flawless.

Yesterday I would say it was definitely improved, but far from perfect. Cause I found many different matches and was able to play them fine! But... Between those I also had a lot of issues that required me to quit the game and come back.

Then, I got stucked with a message saying "downloading latest matchmaking data"... But never finished, so I went to sleep. Today I cant find any match. Now Im not sure if I could say its improved anymore.

Surely what is fair is offering anyone who bought the game and isn't satisfied a full refund and return of the game?
 
Going to pretty much copy/paste what I said in the other thread...

If the game's main issues aren't fixed by Black Friday then this will be more of a flop/disappointment than it already is.Might sound crazy but I think the only appropriate way they could say "sorry" about this if the main issues still don't get fixed by Black Friday is by giving every person who bought the game in November a few free months of XBL and then making the game free to play on XBL Gold.

The latter would continue on making Halo MCC a system seller even with its terrible launch, especially when the issues get fixed obviously (well, that is if they ever do).

Can't tell if you're sarcastic. That is essentially suggesting that they let everyone who bought MCC so far essentially get it for free. That is a lot of damn money.

Microsoft will give a free game or something similar because they can. Probably something like Forza 5 or Ryse. They've done so many times in the past. But I wouldn't expect much from 343i beyond a heartfelt apology.
 
So disappointed. I wanted this patch to work so I could buy the game again. This bums me out big time. 343 is tarnishing the Halo name with this shit man.

I am not asking for anything at all, other than a working game, but I think that rebranding planned content as compensation would be a PR nightmare. They would be better off doing nothing than doing that.

There really is no reasonable way to provide the compensation that people are demanding. they could add some xbox live time, or MS points I suppose, but free games, or money back don't make any sense.

I've been able to get into matches a lot faster.

95% of the time now when I search I get into a match within 2 mintues.

Still longer than it should take but a lot faster than before the patch.

The games have been smooth for the most part. 1 or 2 have been laggy.

The uneven teams still happen though. That's the only real problem for me right now.

MS has been giving away games since launch. It's nothing to them to give DL codes for Ryse or Forza 5.

Also, giving consumers their money back within a reasonable time period ALWAYS makes sense.

I meant as compensation, a whole free game is a bit wierd to me for compensation, but I don't see money back happening and being able to keep the game.
 
So I braved MP today, defnitenly better for me I actually mannaged to get a few games and rather quickly too. Only a couple were uneven.

I did however have my H2 checkpoint wiped.

A campaign loading screen hardlock.

And every time I try and join my friend through the in-game button it just says "trying to join" and never does. There's only a very small chance I can join him through the one UI join button too :/

CE co-op had unbearable lag, so I hosted.
