With some argument over Halo 2, and what it really has, should have had, and some feel doesn't live up to, what do people REALLY want to see, the top priorities, in Halo Next for Xbox Next/2/II/Xenon/Xenophobe/whatever? Between a third game and better hardware, what should Bungie darn well fix or add?
Personally I would like to see:
1. Online co-op campaign, and no dinky 2 players. Six, eight - a full squad here. Online co-op campaigns, with the possibility of downloadable campaign modules or even a persistent world/war to some degree.
2. USE YOUR OWN STORY GUYS. Halo has a robust universe, there's all kinds of stuff going on in it, and the campaign should make use of it. Bungie knows how to make cinema story, Halo 2 shows that. They really should go longer in that area.
3. Bigger maps for bigger online scenarios. Full out war with squadrons of tanks or a score of Warthogs vs a fleet of Ghosts chewing each other up in the middle.
4. With vehicle combat and the potential for scenarios like in #3, and better hardware, more players. 32 player games? 16 on 16 conquest play?
5. Give the humans an air vehicle already! Lack of truly new vehicles was a let down in Halo 2. For online play, a greater variety of air vehicles along with more players means more epic strategy - air support and fights for air supremacy.
