It kind of bugs me that the Arbiter and his allies have the new elite sub species appearance even though canonically he, at least, doesn't.

Yeah, my hype train grinded to a halt. They were doing so well at building it up then meh.
I mean it looks interesting just not exciting. If that makes any sense.
I thought the campaign demo was fairly good. It was obvious they wanted to show off the new squad features and to do that it was gunna be pretty scripted.
That said the art design was freaking gorgeous, the new Prometheans look a hell of a lot better than the Knights and the story hints at the end with the Promethean boss thing were really interesting.

Xbox Conference was really strong overall. Time was clearly an issue this go around. I am surprised people are in arms at the linear demo style. Even Halo 2's reveal was a scripted on rails thing. Same with Reach. These shows are mostly geared to be as easily digestible as possible by press / average consumers.
We that dig for more details and want more will get it in due time I'm sure. Super hyped for warzone and all its potential. I really hope its not just slayer with A.I. Please give us an objective variant in the form of invasion all the pieces are there!

Halo 5's graphics looks pretty horrible up even from a medium range distance. Pretty disappointing.
I think Warzone looks fucking amazing.
Big ass maps, 12v12, mini-bosses, bosses, objectives etc.
Not to mention regular BtB is still in?

I thought everything looked great. Going to be a blast with friends.

The prometheans still look bad to me. Someone at 343 needs to get over their obsession with glowy orange and random floating bits that serve no purpose. They're the most "un-Halo" looking thing in the 343 games.
They could have shown meatspin and you'd have drooled all over it.

Everyone seems to keep saying this, but it was a demo for a press conference. They are always super scripted.
Its not what we want, but that's what mainstream audiences want to watch apparently.

I enjoyed it, pretty much what I expected. The campaign was alright, seems like a huge improvement over H4. Warzone just looks straight up fun. It's pretty much Invasion 2.0, which is great because I loved Invasion. Definitely can't wait to see more.

My biggest takeaway? Nathan Fillion's voice acting is incredible.
Yeah, the guy that led the Halo hate train when footage was leaked is a "shock" that I liked the showing.

I'm assuming 12v12 wont be limited to just Warzone and we can also have 12v12 in custom games. Infection will be pretty crazy. I hope forge turns out well, should be pretty cool to make big opens maps for 12v12. Just make Blood Gulch so I don't have to, Thanks.

But they have 2 employees who spend 90% of their time with MLG wannabes. They go out of their way to pay for tournaments for the wannabes (even MLG doesn't want Halo these days). They get a lead developer to court these people in the Beyond forums, despite the torrent of direct and personal abuse thrown at 343 employees by folks there.
Obviously 99% of the entire Halo audience are MLG babies, why else would they spend a disproportionate amount of time and money on them?
Instead of using a beta to test the brand new online experience with untested networked AI and new modes and scale, they instead focus on the Arena mode for the MLG babies. Obvious the baby's mode is more important to test.
MLG babies love the shit out of COD. COD single player is almost entirely scripted with cinematic moments. Now Halo has all that too.
Trust them. Etc.

I'd rather have rough textures if it means that they can have these massive epic battles they're talking about, rather than super high res textures and a max of 10 enemies on screen at any one time. Art style is more important anyways.
Unfortunately I'm not the biggest fan of 343's art style, but whatever, I respect the emphasis on "bigger" rather than "shinier".

I like the story direction. Looks great. Love the coop.
But the gameplay is exactly what made halo 4 campaign a snooze fest.
It's like 343 doesn't know what made halo campaigns so fun and unique. But it is just a slice. Maybe it opens up and isn't as scripted set piecey. Wish they would show that off like the halo 3 e3 scarab fight.

Never thought I would seer the day of seeing COD campaign hollywood mechanics in Halo, so much scripted events in that demo.
The mouths in the prometheans made them looks funny instead of menacing

I have to agree, I heard NeoGAF's Halo fans were cynical but jeez, its either really hard trolling or if this is legitimate complaining there will be nothing that will please you guys.
I liked what I saw, the campaign demo looks great mind you I'm expecting different ala the Jungle scene in Halo 4's E3 Demo compared to final but hell if they can just keep a fraction of that then it will be tight.
Warzone looks very fun, a neat blend of Invasion and Firefight with BTB right in the middle. it looks like its gonna be chaos and I hope that whole dedicated server thing is actually legit (compared to MCC's promises) because if I'm hearing right this is gonna be 12x12 and plus this Covenant and Promethean chaos is gonna equal some serious frame rate and connection lag.
